Saints and Soldiers: Airborne Creed is a 2012 religious-themed war film set during the invasion of Southern France in World War II. An example of LDS cinema from Excel Entertainment Group, it was directed by Ryan Little, written by Lamont Gray and Lincoln Hoppe and starring Corbin Allred, David Nibley, and Jasen Wade. The film's story has no relation to the events or characters portrayed in the 2003 war film Saints and Soldiers, although both films feature actor Corbin Allred and share a director.
Synopsis
Members of the American 517th Parachute Regimental Combat Team parachute into Occupied France as part of Operation Dragoon and come under fire, getting separated from their units. Three paratroopers, Sgt. Caleb Jones (David Nibley), T/5. James Rossi (Corbin Allred), and Cpl. Harland "Bud" Curtis (Jasen Wade), meet and begin making their way to their intended drop zone in Les Arcs. En route, they encounter members of the French Resistance and small infantry and armored patrols of the German Army. Flashbacks show some of the back story of the Resistance fighters as well as the airborne soldiers' lives back home, and reciting of the 'airborne creed' becomes a touchstone for continued perseverance and offensive action under fire.Actors

The film begins with a narration by Jenny Thomas (Alison Akin Clark) over scenes of a blonde girl dancing as she grows up. She explains that the two most important things in her life are her dancing and her faith (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). Her mother (Tayva Patch) was always pushing her to do well while her father (Rick Macy) would stand at the finish line and urge her on. The person to whom she is closest is her father, and this comes up several times during the film. Filmed in black-and-white with a running time of just under 50 minutes, The War Game depicts the prelude to and the immediate weeks of the aftermath to a Soviet nuclear attack against Britain. A Chinese invasion of South Vietnam starts the war; tensions escalate when the United States authorises tactical nuclear warfare against the Chinese. Although Soviet and East German forces threaten to invade West Berlin if the US does not withdraw that decision, the US does not acquiesce to communist demands and the invasion takes place; two US Army divisions attempt to fight their way into Berlin to counter this, but the Russian and East German forces overwhelm them in conventional battle. In order to turn the tide, the US president authorises the NATO commanders to use their tactical nuclear weapons, and they soon do so. An escalating nuclear war results, during which larger Russian strategic IRBMs are launched at Britain. The film remarks that many Soviet missiles were, at the time, believed to be liquid-fuelled and stored above ground, making them vulnerable to attack, and hypothesises that in any nuclear crisis, the USSR would be obliged to fire all of them as early as possible in order to avoid their destruction by counter-attack, hence the rapid progression from tactical to strategic nuclear exchange.
