Synopsis
The setting is an Anatolian town. Being far from the big cities, it is more or less an isolated town and it is sarcastically called Selamsız ( "No Greetings"). Latif Şahin, the mayor of the town learns that the president plans to travel to East Anatolia by train. The railroad is close by and Latif hopes to solve some problems of his town by attracting the attention of the president and if possible inviting him to his town.Actors

The story opens as Shero the bad cat, Rıza the rat and Rıfkı the seagull are getting ready for a barbeque night. This usual looking day will prove otherwise as Shero inadvertently causes the death of a likely lover, gets chased to death by his antagonists, falls in love and finds out that he is father to a son, only to disown him. Little surprise that all these small mishaps upset the great plans for the night.

After serving a 35-year jail sentence, Baran (played by Şener Şen), an eşkıya (a bandit, a haydut in Turkish), is released from prison in a town in Eastern Turkey. When returning to the home village he witness the fact that the world has changed dramatically during those years, with the village itself underwater after the construction of a dam. Then he also finds out that the person who masterminded the betrayal that brought him to jail was Berfo (Kamuran Usluer), a friend who had once been closer to him than a brother. In order to snare Keje (Sermin Şen), Baran's sweetheart, Berfo seized his best friend's gold and had Baran arrested by the gendarmes on Mountain Cudi. Then Berfo purchased Keje from her father against her will, and disappeared. According to rumor, he is in Istanbul.
