Uğur Yücel (born 26 May 1957) is a Turkish film actor, producer and director. He graduated from the Theater Department of the Istanbul Municipality Conservatory (İstanbul Belediye Konservatuarı Tiyatro Bölümü). He took part in several plays between 1975 and 1984 in Kenter Tiyatrosu (Kenter Theatre), Tef Kaber Theatre, Dormen Theatre, and Şan Müzikholü. He was noticed for his roles in Selamsız Bandosu (1987) and Muhsin Bey (1987), then gained mainstream success when he took part in Eşkıya (1996). He is married to Turkish actress Derya Alabora.

Ensar (Nejat İşler) has turned into a ruthless death machine during his military service, during which he fought terrorists in numerous clashes in southeast Anatolia. Having just completed his compulsory military service, Ensar returns home, but on the very day he comes home, he finds out that while he was away, his 12-year-old sister was raped. Later, unable to cope with the trauma, the little girl hung herself at a mental asylum she was put in following the incident. In the meantime, Ensar’s hometown is shaken with a number of murders. Two skillful detectives from the homicide department, Abbas (Uğur Yücel) and “Akrep” Celal (Kenan İmirzalıoğlu), along with rookie Ezo (Berrak Tüzünataç) are assigned to investigate the murders. The case will be the last one Abbas has to solve before the retirement he has been anticipating for a long time to put into practice his plans to move to a quiet and far away place with his longtime girlfriend Cavidan (Ceyda Düvenci).

After serving a 35-year jail sentence, Baran (played by Şener Şen), an eşkıya (a bandit, a haydut in Turkish), is released from prison in a town in Eastern Turkey. When returning to the home village he witness the fact that the world has changed dramatically during those years, with the village itself underwater after the construction of a dam. Then he also finds out that the person who masterminded the betrayal that brought him to jail was Berfo (Kamuran Usluer), a friend who had once been closer to him than a brother. In order to snare Keje (Sermin Şen), Baran's sweetheart, Berfo seized his best friend's gold and had Baran arrested by the gendarmes on Mountain Cudi. Then Berfo purchased Keje from her father against her will, and disappeared. According to rumor, he is in Istanbul.
