Sendhamizh Selvan is a 1994 Tamil language film written and directed by Manoj Kumar. The film stars Prashanth and Madhoo in the lead roles, while music was given by M. S. Viswanathan & Illayaraja as a team. The film was dubbed in Telugu as Gharana Premikudu.
Synopsis
Vijayakumar & Mohan Natrajan have been friends. Vijayakumar is an atheist while Mohan Natrajan is a temple priest . Vijayakumar's son Prashanth & Mohan Natrajan's daughter Nandhini (played by Madhoo bala) fall in love with each other. Chandrasekar is Vijayakumar's brother -in law. His daughter Ranjani (played by Sivaranjani) is also madly in love & vows to get married to Raja (Prashanth). Against their families wishes, Prashanth & Madhoo elope. Ever since, the two families hate each other, later Vijayakumar is murdered in front of his wife Sujatha who becomes mentally sick of the shock.Actors

Kannan (Prashanth), a young music shop employee dreams of his dreamgirl with gold anklets. He sees a running girl's leg and finds he has found his girl and follows her with his anklets. Kannan goes to a music college to repair musical instruments and a group of college girls led by Gayatri (Simran) the girl which Kannan found as his dreamgirl approach him to request him to not to repair the instruments all they are very old and unfit to use for the music contest. Kannan uses the opportunity to become close to her but Gayathri does not reciprocate. Instead, she gets angry on his behaviour. Kannan accompanies Gayathri to Bangalore for the music contest. Gayathri once sees Kannan getting money from one of the musical bands who has come to participate in the contest. On the day of the contest Gayathri and her team are shocked that the song which they have composed was stolen by other troop and she misunderstands that Kannan has stolen and sold their work for money despite Kannan's protest that he is innocent. Kannan lends the love poems which he had written for her to sing for the contest. Gayathri gets the song and sings which wins her the prize. Gayathri understands that Kannan has no role in the stealing of the song and he got money from the troop for fixing their repaired musical instruments. Gayathri now realised her blunder for hurting him and rushes to apologize and accept his love. Kannan gets news that his father was injured and rushes to his home.

Chandru (Prashanth) – graduate, works in a Florist shop owned by Manivannan. Chandru visits his friend’s STD booth, where he see many girls waiting for their boy friend’s phone call. The film talks about two friends Vasanth (Prashanth) and Shankar (Karan) from the same college.. They start out as enemies and then become best friends. Vasanth loves Priya (Simran) without knowing she is Shankar’s sister, which he comes to know later. When Shankar tells Vasanth about his past, that his other sister eloped with one of his best friend (Vignesh). Romeo lives a privileged life as a celebrity with his widowed mother, in Bangalore, India. He receives considerable assistance and encouragement from Raj Mohan to dance and sing. He meets and is attracted to Madhoo, who is also his fan. His mother meets with Madhoo's grandfather and both arrange their wedding. Then Romeo finds out that Raj Mohan has been stealing body organs, especially kidneys, from patients in the Satya Moorthy Hospital, and then getting them killed via bus accidents. He meets with Raj and warns him that he is going to expose him publicly. Before he could reveal their actibities Romeo is shot, taken and thrown off of a cliff. His friend, Prakash, takes the blame; he is arrested, tried in Court, found guilty, and sentenced to life imprisonment.

The story is based in Kashmir. It starts with a sad Radhika (Sonali Bendre) being introduced to an Army Major (Parmeet Sethi) by her father, Raja Saab (Shakti Kapoor) an erstwhile king and current politician. Raja Saab tells her that the Major will be a good husband for her. On the day of the engagement, news breaks of a terrorist attack in a nearby village led by the terrorist, Shaka (Ajay Devgan). The Major and Raja Saab leave with a large force to that village. But that turns out to be a ruse as Shaka comes to the place of the engagement and burns the marriage Mandap. Then he gives a long look to Radhika, who looks at him with hatred, and leaves. Shaka reaches his lair where he meets his leader, Dara (Amrish Puri) and Shabnam (Madhoo) and the rest of his gang. Dara welcomes him and proclaims him to be Diljale. Shabnam, who loves him, tries to hug him but Shaka rebuffs it.
