Synopsis
Johnny Wayne (Clint Browning) is an ex-racer who is serving in prison after crippling a young boy during an illegal street race in Los Angeles. Wayne, having been traumatised by the events, vows to never race again, and is soon released as a reformed citizen.Actors

Natasha Martin (Nadia Bjorlin) is a beautiful auto mechanic and aspiring musician who is invited to join music producer Infamous (Eddie Griffin) aboard his private jet en route to Las Vegas in appreciation of her services on his Ford GT. She is also a highly skilled race car driver, but is sometimes haunted by memories of her father's death at a NASCAR race many years ago. Meanwhile, on another side of town, Carlo (Nathan Phillips) has just returned from a tour of duty in Iraq. He meets up with his brother Jason (Jesse Johnson) before heading to Vegas themselves. Carlo is not happy that Jason is living with their mob boss uncle Michael D'Orazio (Angus Macfadyen), whom he always sees as the cause of their family's destruction. Mark and Lynn (Darby Hinton and Diana Peterson) get caught up in a story of hatred and revenge after trying to collect on a bet with a Hi-Rider. Speed Racer (Emile Hirsch) is an 18-year-old whose life and love has always been automobile racing. In the future, on the planet Dorothy, a world dominated by canine humanoids, duck's ass-hairstyle wearing "Sweet" JP races in the planet's Yellowline car race, a final elimination race despite two interplanetary wars to the most popular race in the galaxy, the Redline. The crowd is watching the race on an outdoor giant monitor screen in the desert town of the Water Stop. His mechanic, Joshua "Frisbee" Flathead, is watching the televised race with a mafia boss. The gambling boss is concerned that JP might attempt to win the fixed race but Frisbee reassures him that JP needs bail bond funds from the pay-off. JP attempts to win anyway while Frisbee resorts to using a remote detonator transmitter hidden in the palm of his hand which the mob boss doesn't notice, causing JP's TransAM20000 to explode and making the 'Crab Sonoshee Sea' hovercraft piloted by female racer Sonoshee "Cherry Boy Hunter" McLaren the winner.

Taking place in the Gunma prefecture in Japan, the film concerns a young tofu-delivery driver named Takumi Fujiwara, trained from a young age and way before he could drive to deliver tofu to the peak of Mt. Akina (Mt. Haruna in real-life). He had been trained to an incredible level of skill in taking on the five hairpin corners plus using the gutter techniques of Mt. Akina. Leo Tego (Tego Calderón) is in a prison of the Dominican Republic, ranting about corporations holding back the electric car and starting wars for oil while, on the streets, Rico Santos (Don Omar) chats to an old man unable to find enough gas. Han Lue (Sung Kang) arrives and is collected from the airport by Cara Mirtha (Mirtha Michelle) and Malo (F. Valentino Morales). They drive him back to Santos' house, where his aunt Rubia (Adria Carrasco) is struggling with rising prices linked to the cost of gas and Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) is working on his car. The team then enjoy a welcome meal with the family. After breaking Leo out of prison, they head to a club, where Han and Cara flirt while Dominic meets up with local politician Elvis (Juan Fernandez), who informs them of a window of opportunity to hijack a gas shipment. While relaxing at the club afterwards, Dominic is surprised by the arrival of Leticia Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), who has tracked him from Mexico. The two drive together to the beach, where they rekindle their romance.
