The film was 3rd successful productions for MGR and Devar Films. The way MGR drives the jeep in dense forest, his silambam fight and fight with tiger are worth mentioning. When MGR tries to hide inside rock boulders from the tiger attack, the camera work was awesome.
The film was one of highest grosser of 1962 with 32 centres crossing 50 days and 7 centres over 100 days. The film had lifetime grosser of ₹ 45 Lakhs and ran for 140 days.
Synopsis
Shekar (M.G. Ramachandran) is from an affluent family and Maragadham (B. Saroja Devi) from a poor family. Maragadham's brother Kandan (M.R. Radha) is a tea-stall owner who hates rich people because of some unpleasant incident from his past. A local goon Muthaiah (S.A. Asokan) loves Maragadham and wants to marry her. Neither Maragadham nor Kandan like Muthaiah. Shekar once saves Maragadham from Muthaiah, after which Maragadham gets a chance to save Shekar's life when during one of his hunting adventures, a tiger attacks him. Both develop a liking towards each other. However, Kandan's hatred towards the rich comes in the way of their love.Actors

Thai Sollai Thattathe highlights the values of a mothers teaching and what wrong can happen if a child goes against his mother. Dharmalingam (M.R. Radha), a rich landlord, is the father of two sons and a daughter. His eldest son has a love marriage with a poor teacher's daughter, Kamala. Dharmalingam disowns them. Raja (M.G.R), a champion jockey leads a very happy and disciplined life. JB (M.G. Ramachandran) is a wealthy industrialist who decides to take a vacation at his residence in Shimla. Upon his arrival, he discovers that his caretaker (P. D. Mask Killers surrounded a guy and killing, Doctor Chandran (MGR) passing the way, he gets into fight with those people and harried to police station nearby meantime those killers escaped with dead body. Sivagami refused to marry Mani. Things get tightened the neck of Radha when Chandran goes to police. M.R.Radha accepted Chandran and sivagami love. At the climax Chandran and cops plays drama to find the mask killer. Will killer's mask tear? Sivagmi and Chandran get marry? Remain story 'll cover up these questions.
