Elsa, Princess of Arendelle, possesses cryokinetic powers, with which she is able to produce or manipulate ice, frost and snow at will. One night while playing, she accidentally injures her younger sister, Anna. Their shocked parents, the king and queen, seek help from the troll king, who heals Anna and removes her memories of Elsa's magic. The royal couple isolate the children in the castle until Elsa learns to control her magical powers. Afraid of hurting Anna again, and her ability to control her powers deteriorating, Elsa spends most of her time alone in her room, refusing even to speak to Anna and a rift develops between the sisters as they grow up. When the girls are teenagers, their parents die at sea during a storm.

Jim Evers is a workaholic real estate agent whose continuous pursuit for new deals leaves very little time with his family. He misses his wedding anniversary with his wife Sara, but to make amends, suggesting going on vacation to a nearby lake. Beforehand, Sara is contacted by the occupants of Gracey Manor, located in the Louisiana bayou. Eager to make a deal, Jim drags Sara and his children Megan and Michael to the mansion. They meet its owner Edward Gracey, his stern butler Ramsley, and other staff members Emma and Ezra. When a storm floods the nearby river, Gracey allows the Evers to stay the night, though everyone save Jim is unhappy with the idea. Ramsley takes Jim down to the library to have a talk with Gracey, but while he waits, Jim gets trapped in a secret passage.

Sailing to Port Royal, Governor Weatherby Swann, his daughter Elizabeth, and Lieutenant James Norrington encounter a burning shipwreck and recover a young boy Will Turner. Sinbad and his pirate crew attempt to steal the magical "Book of Peace" while it travels to Syracuse, Sicily, protected by Proteus. A year after the first film, Dr. Claw (Tony Martin), escapes from Riverton Prison. Chief Quimby (Mark Mitchell), Mayor Wilson (Sigrid Thornton) and Baxter (Bruce Spence) unveil the new female Gadget Model #2 (G2 for short) (Elaine Hendrix), to replace the now glitchy Inspector Gadget (French Stewart). Gadget soon falls for G2, but she turns down his offer to team up, saying she works alone. Also, Gadget angers Quimby after arresting his mother for going .3 mph over the speed limit and for driving without a license. Meanwhile, Dr. Claw plans to steal 5 trillion dollars worth of gold from the Riverton Federal Reserve. Gadget's niece, Penny (Caitlin Wachs) shows him that Claw placed a job ad in the paper for minions. Gadget goes undercover, but ends up causing a bar brawl, which G2 later breaks up. Penny sneaks along with Brain (Gadget's dog), and finds out Claw is planning a heist; she tells Gadget and G2. Despite Quimby warning to stay away or he will be fired, Gadget goes to the stakeout and ends up sabotaging it while trying to help, allowing Claw's minions to escape with ion fuel cells. Quimby makes Gadget spend the next three days as a bathroom janitor instead of firing him as promised.
