The Attacks of 26/11 is a 2013 Indian docudrama thriller film directed by Ram Gopal Varma, based on the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The film stars Sanjeev Jaiswal in his film debut, playing the role of terrorist Ajmal Kasab, with art direction by Uday Singh. It also features Nana Patekar in a pivotal role. A seven-minute promo of the film was released over internet on 23 November 2012. The film had a worldwide release on 1 March 2013 with mostly positive reviews, and critics praising Varma's narrative of assistant commissioner N. R. Mahale, and the details associated with the character's interactions with Ajmal Kasab on anti terrorism.
The first look of the film was revealed on 17 January 2013. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed the film, uncut, with an 'Adults Only' certificate. The film was premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival, in the Panorama as well as the Competition section. The film had a worldwide release on 1 March 2013, to positive reviews, and was opened to critical acclaim at the Films Division of India in New Delhi.

The story revolves around an ex-Special Protection Group Commando Amaan Malik, whose wife and daughter are killed in a Jihad inspired terrorist attack. The story is about Vishal (Ajay Devgn) who is married to Swati (Urmila Matondkar). The couple buy a high rise apartment at a ridiculously low price. The film opens with two bandits breaking into a railroad telegraph office, where they force the operator at gunpoint to have a train stopped and to transmit orders for the engineer orders to fill the locomotive's tender at the station's water tank. They then knock operator out and tie him up. As the train stops it is boarded by the bandits—now four. Two bandits enter an express car, kill a messenger and open a box of valuables with dynamite; the others kill the fireman and force the engineer to halt the train and disconnect the locomotive. The bandits then force the passengers off the train and rifle them for their belongings. One passenger tries to escape, but is instantly shot down. Carrying their loot, the bandits escape in the locomotive, later stopping in a valley where their horses had been left.

Gary Hook, a new recruit to the British Army, takes leave of his much younger brother Darren. Hook's squad of British soldiers is sent to Belfast in 1971 in the early years of The Troubles.
