Carmilla est un film canadien réalisé par Spencer Maybee, sorti en 2017 et basée sur un roman de Sheridan Le Fanu. En 2014, une première version sous le format d'une web-série était sorti avec les mêmes actrices principales.

Synopsis

Cinq ans après les événements de la web série diffusée sur la plateforme Youtube, Carmilla n'est plus une vampire mais une humaine vivante et respirante. L'ancienne vampire semble bien s'adapter à sa nouvelle vie mortelle à Toronto avec sa petite amie, Laura. Cependant, le passé sanglant de Carmilla n'est jamais loin, et finit par les hanter quand Laura commence à avoir des cauchemars liés au passé de Carmilla.

Smith is an 18-year-old film student who identifies sexually as "undeclared". He has been having strange dreams. La chaîne de restauration rapide American Chicken Bunker a construit un de ses restaurants sur le site d'un vieux cimetière indien. Ainsi les contestataires alter-mondialistes du CLAM (College Lesbian Against Mega-conglomerates) manifestent. Arbie arrive sur les lieux de la manifestation et découvre que Wendy, son ex, est devenue lesbienne. Le jeune homme décide alors de se faire embaucher dans le restaurant pour s'opposer à cette dernière. Il va rencontrer des gens aux personnalités particulières : Carl Jr. un grand garçon un peu bête, Paco Bell le jeune mexicain homosexuel, Humus la musulmane et le général Lee Roy, gérant de la chaîne de restauration rapide. Malheureusement la malédiction de l'ancienne tribu indienne va s'abattre sur le restaurant et ainsi transformer la viande qui fera muter les gens en poulets-zombies. Les personnes coincées à l'intérieur de ces lieux maudits vont découvrir qu'ils vont être contraints de s'unir pour survivre.
