Synopsis
Adele et Gavino, deux prolétaires sardes résidant à Turin, se sont endettés pour acheter un énorme frigo, qu'ils considèrent comme un symbole d'ascension sociale. Quand Gavino perd l'argent qu'il faut pour régler l'achat, les deux décident qu'Adele se prostitue pour une fois pour ne pas perdre l'électro-ménager. Toutefois, une fois cette tâche accomplie et reglé le compte du frigo au magasin, le couple s'éprend soudainement d'une magnifique et très coûteuse machine à laver ...Actors

In a small village in Sicily, the girl Assunta is seduced by Vincenzo. The man, however, runs away the day after they become lovers. The story begins in Cairo where Okra (Akim Tamiroff), using a bikini-clad accomplice (Maria Grazia Buccella) as a distraction, hijacks $3 million in gold bullion. The thieves need a way to smuggle the two tons of gold bars into Europe. There are only four master criminals considered able to smuggle the gold: one is French (but so crippled he can barely move his wheelchair); one is Irish (but so nearsighted that he is arrested after trying to hold up a police station instead of a bank); one is German (but so fat he can barely get through a door).
