Cowboy Bob Smith captures notorious outlaw Bob Moore, then learns that Moore's real name is also Bob Smith. Moore convinces Smith to pose as him so that his long-lost sister, who will be arriving to visit him, won't know that her brother is actually an outlaw. Smith agrees, and when the sister arrives, Smith falls for her. Things get even more complicated when he finds out that the outlaw Smith's gang is planning on killing him.

As described in a film magazine, 'Silent' Budd Marr (Hart) comes to the town of Bakeoven to spend some of the gold for which he had labored so hard. Through Handsome Jack Pressley (McKim) he gets into a fight, and is confined to bed for a couple of weeks during which his claim is stolen. All efforts to regain his property are unsuccessful, so when he finds the claim jumpers loading their loot on the stage coach, he holds it up, and at the same time rescues Betty Bryce (Vale), a young woman Pressley had lured with the promise of marriage to work in his dance hall. As the girl learns the true nature of Pressley she is thankful and soon falls in love with Bud. A stranger known as Uncle Grubstake (Lockney) has become friendly with Bud and Betty's brother David (Goodwin), and when the citizens attempt to hang Bud for robbing the coach, Grubstake reveals his true identity as a federal agent, and has the evidence that gets Pressley and his gang arrested. Bud and Betty end up happy.

Buck Thornton, alias "Six Feet Four", arrive à l'hôtel de Drytown peu après qu'il a été cambriolé par un homme répondant à sa description. Buck est chargé de protéger Winifred Waverly, une jeune femme qui vient d'arriver de l'Est avec de l'argent pour son oncle Henry Pollard. Pendant que Buck nourrit les chevaux, Winifred est attaquée par un homme masqué et Buck est de nouveau suspecté. Sur les lieux du vol, Buck trouve une molette d'éperon, qui s'avère appartenir à Ben Broderick. Broderick, Pollard et le shérif Cole Dalton sont en fait les vrais coupables. Le Deputy Marshall "Two-Hand" Billy Comstock apprend qu'ils vont attaquer la diligence, et il arrive à déjouer leur plan avec l'aide de Buck. Buck finalement abat Broderick et Winifred et lui trouvent le bonheur dans une ville paisible.
