The Kids Grow Up (Spanish: Los chicos crecen) is a 1942 Argentine film directed by Carlos Hugo Christensen and starring Arturo García Buhr, Santiago Gómez Cou and María Duval. At the 1943 Argentine Film Critics Association Awards, Arturo García Buhr won the Silver Condor Award for Best Actor for his performance in the film.

Roberto Moran (Mariano Mores) has just arrived in Buenos Aires from the provinces to work in a foundry. He can play the bandoneón by ear but wants to have proper training in music at a conservatory run by a frustrated old musician, Don Matias (Ricardo Galache). The old man first rejects both Roberto and his instrument, but after hearing him play, he changes his mind and takes him on, though forbidding him to play popular music, which he despises.

Two different women give birth to twin brothers in a hospital, and when they are discussing outside the hospital, the fathers (Viruta and Capulina), confuse their babies when they say goodbye one another. Some years after, one of the couples is a pair of rich and well educated brothers that are meant to be married to a couple of rich sisters, Alma and Maria Castillo, while the other couple of brothers, a poor but friendly unemployed guys, fall in love with Emilia and Rosita, the maids of the rich twin brothers. When the two couples meet, confusion is ensued in all sides. After several situations that almost break the compromise of all four couples, the girls realize about the problem and make amends with the boys.
