L'Enfant lion est un film franco-burkinabé réalisé par Patrick Grandperret, sorti en 1993. Il s'agit d'une adaptation cinématographique du roman Sirga la lionne, de l'écrivain français René Guillot, paru en 1951.
Synopsis
Au village de Pama, en Afrique, au XX siècle, Oulé vient au monde le même jour que Sirga, la petite lionne. Ils grandissent ensemble et deviennent inséparables, passant leurs journées à chasser, au grand dam de Léna, la douce amie d'Oulé. L'enfant apprend le langage des animaux, du vent et du feu. Ses connaissances vont d'ailleurs lui devenir précieuses, lorsqu'un jour surgissent des hommes armés venus du Nord. La tribu est décimée et les enfants sont emmenés en esclavage au Maghreb ou en Arabie. Oulé tente de retrouver sa terre natale avec l'aide des félins.Actors

When George Adamson is forced to kill a lioness out of self-defense, he brings home the 3 orphaned cubs she had been trying to protect. The Adamsons tend to the three orphaned lion cubs to young lionhood, and, when the time comes, the two largest are sent to the Rotterdam Zoo, while Elsa the Lioness (the smallest of the litter) remains with Joy. When Elsa is held responsible for stampeding a herd of elephants through a village, John Kendall, Adamson's boss gives the couple three months to either rehabilitate Elsa to the wild, or send her to a zoo. Joy opposes sending Elsa to a zoo, and spends much time attempting to re-introduce Elsa to the life of a wild lion in a distant reserve. At last, Joy succeeds, and with mixed feelings and a breaking heart, she returns her friend to the wild. The Adamsons then depart for their home in England; a year later, they return to Kenya for a week, hoping to find Elsa. They do, and happily discover she hasn't forgotten them, and is the mother of three cubs.

In 1869, two brothers bury a mysterious chest from which the sound of drumbeats can be heard. A century later, 12-year-old Alan Parrish escapes from a group of bullies to a shoe factory owned by his father, Samuel Parrish. When Alan accidentally damages a machine, Carl Bentley, an employee at the factory and Alan's friend, is blamed and dismissed. The bullies attack Alan and steal his bicycle. At the Central Park Zoo, Marty the zebra is celebrating his tenth birthday, but longs to see the rest of the world from outside his pampered life at the zoo, believing that he can find wide-open spaces to run around in, like in Connecticut. Marty's best friend, Alex the lion, attempts to cheer up his friend by singing Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York" with him. Still unsatisfied, Marty gets some tips from the zoo's penguins: Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private. The penguins are similarly trying to escape the zoo. Marty's friends — Alex the lion, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippopotamus — realize Marty's folly and try to follow him. The four, along with the penguins and the chimpanzees Mason and his silent friend Phil, eventually find themselves at Grand Central Station, but are quickly sedated by tranquilizer darts when Alex's attempt to communicate with humans is mistaken for aggression. The zoo, under pressure from animal-rights activists, is forced to ship the animals, by sea, to a Kenyan wildlife preserve. During their travels, the penguins escape from their enclosure and take over the ship, intent on taking it to Antarctica. Their antics on the bridge cause the crates containing Alex, Marty, Melman, and Gloria to fall off the boat and wash ashore on Madagascar.
