Synopsis
Angela, a young model, is working on a T.V commercial that is filmed in the countryside. Her boyfriend is part of the crew behind the camera. Not far from where they are shooting the commercial, there is a house named Araucaima, inhabited by six eccentric characters: a guardian, who patrols the property with his German Sheppard; Camilo, an impotent alcoholic pilot; a monk, with a passion for books; a black servant named Cristobal who does the daily chores; the Machiche, a mature voluptuous woman who keeps the men in the house under her control; and Graciliano "Don Graci", the pampered owner of the house.Actors

On August 6, 1956 the Grandmother dies of a major upper-class family in Cali. The descendants are called to hear the will of the grandmother, two of the heirs are Andres Alfonso and his half sister Margaret. At dawn on August 7 of that year the infamous explosion occurs several truckloads of dynamite that were to be transported to Bogotá. No light, no water and with the roof partially fallen's family as well as others head into the field. Andres and Margaret are asked to go to the farm-out "La Emma" to go for supplies and give the news to the great-uncle Enrique of the death of his sister and his share of the inheritance. Both come to be greeted by the caretaker of the farm and later directed where Enrique is known as the black sheep of the family for being different from them. Both being dirty clothes are changed while Henry tells of its history and let them see both photos and memories. From there it develops a Gothic story of love between Andres and Margaret that slowly develop a strong attraction resulting in an incestuous relationship in which little by little Andres and Margaret are the ghosts of their ancestors who are taking possession of both. The lovers disappear and appear in both the farm and in other murdering and spreading terror in the region. A historical realism magic to resurrect become symbols of power - the matron pride, the bloodthirsty general, ethereal nuns and the doctor vampire.

Brian Sweeney "Fitzcarraldo" Fitzgerald (Klaus Kinski) is an Irishman living in Iquitos, a small city east of the Andes in the Amazon Basin in Peru in the early part of the 20th century, when the city grew exponentially during the rubber boom. He has an indomitable spirit, but is little more than a dreamer with one major failure already behind him – the bankrupted and incomplete Trans-Andean railways. A lover of opera and a great fan of the internationally known Italian tenor Enrico Caruso, he dreams of building an opera house in Iquitos. Numerous Europeans and North African Sephardic Jewish immigrants have settled in the city at this time, bringing their cultures with them. The opera house will require considerable amounts of money, which the booming rubber industry in Peru should yield in profits. The areas in the Amazon Basin known to contain rubber trees have been parceled up by the Peruvian government and are leased to private companies for exploitation.

Mais, Sara et ses camarades l'enjoignent et le convainquent de les rallier à nouveau. Il trahit une seconde fois Diaz et de façon plus grave. Ce dernier réussit, cependant, à être couronné. Quant à Paulo Martins, « sa quête conjointe de la "justice et de la beauté" le vouera donc à un destin de déchirure, de trahisons successives de lui-même et de ses amis (et de ses amantes), et finalement à ne pouvoir dépasser l'horreur et le dégoût que dans la mort et le sacrifice.

In a rough area in Los Angeles, an aspiring poet has spent six months without leaving his apartment because of his obsessive delusions concerning cruel doctors, rappers, and spiders. Meanwhile, a woman who appears to curse things by wanting to help is dumped by her boyfriend and finds herself flat broke on the streets of LA. Soon she runs into a local gang. Due to a telephone glitch, our hero calls her at a phone booth trying to dial a "talk line" and invites her to his place.
