Synopsis
A music master leads his band to a field where five telegraph lines are strung on utility poles. Hoisting up a giant treble clef, he turns the set of lines into a giant musical staff. He then uses copies of his own head to spell out the tune for "God Save the King," and his band joins in.Actors

On an empty stage, a magician (Méliès) multiplies himself and his chair to form an instrumental band, which he conducts in a lively piece of music. He then returns to each of his identical copies, and a giant ornamental fan appears behind him. Jumping up, the magician disappears in a puff of smoke before returning to the stage for a final bow.

Sur une place publique de Constantinople, un bourreau turc coupe les têtes de quatre condamnés à mort, puis les met dans un tonneau. Dans son dos, une tête ressort et va se mettre sur un corps, formant à nouveau un être humain. Toujours dans le dos du bourreau affairé à ses comptes, l'homme de nouveau en vie sort les autres têtes pour les disposer sur les corps inertes de ses camarades d'infortune. Ils attrapent ensuite le bourreau et lui coupent le corps en deux ; les deux parties continuent à se mouvoir, avant de se regrouper. Le bourreau, bientôt suivi par les forces de l'ordre et la population, se met à poursuivre les quatre fuyards.
