Synopsis
Rafael, a young man from the provinces, works as a waiter in a resort and helps himself economically having sex for money with rich older women. During a bomb threat, he is discovered in bed with one of the guest, Leonor Marchioness of Montenegro, and he is fired as a consequence.Actors

Father Miguel is a conservative thirty six years old Catholic priest. In the changing Spain of 1966 Miguel’s religious community tries to implement the doctrines given by the Second Vatican Council and adapt to the new realities of the country. Father Miguel opposes any form of religious modernization. He clashes with Father Luis, a fellow priest of his community who employs more modern tactics of religious instruction. Miguel begins to experience a personal crisis when his repressed sexuality is awaken by a road sign, displaying a beautiful woman wearing a provocative bikini. He begins to be constantly tormented by sexual thoughts. His sexuality is further aroused by Antonia, a beautiful married woman in her thirties, who in her confessions tells father Miguel about her intense sexual encounters with her husband. Luis, âgé d'environ 45 ans, est professeur dans une université mixte d'Espagne dans les années 1970. Lors de son dernier cours avant les vacances, il remarque deux étudiants, Julia et Miguel, occupés à regarder une carte routière. Après la fin du cours, alors qu'il rentre chez lui en voiture, Luis aperçoit les deux mêmes étudiants occupés à faire de l'auto-stop. Il s'arrête et les prend dans sa voiture, puis leur propose de dormir chez lui la nuit avant de reprendre leur route le lendemain. Célibataire, Luis vit dans une vaste demeure aux allures de manoir jouxtée d'un grand jardin : il est le dernier héritier d'une riche famille et donne des cours purement pour se distraire. Luis fait les honneurs de sa demeure à Julia et Miguel, notamment sa collection d'armes à feu et ses disques de Wagner. Luis leur présente Jaime, un homme d'une trentaine d'années, qui vit chez lui. Luis entretient visiblement une relation particulière avec Jaime, qui semble se comporter avec lui comme un serviteur avec son maître, sans se définir comme tel, et sans être non plus son ami. Après un repas succulent, Luis conduit les deux jeunes gens à une chambre à la décoration chargée où ils dormiront dans le même lit pour la première fois. Julia et Miguel font l'amour tandis que Luis et Jaime passent la soirée de leur côté.

In the summer of 1936, the violence of the Spanish Civil war reaches a small village in Mallorca. Four children: Andreu Ramallo, Manuel Tur, Pau Inglada and a girl Francisca are witness to the execution of leftists at the hands of pro-Franco villagers. In a desperate act of revenge, Pau, whose father has been killed the previous day by the lead executioner, plans to avenge his father's murder torturing Julià Ballester, the son of his father's killer. His idea is to force the boy to drink castor oil. However, things go wrong when the boy—Julià Ballester—taunts them and Pau becomes enraged. He brutally kills Julià by bashing his head against a rock and then stabbing him in the throat. Unable to deal with what he has just done, Pau commits suicide jumping inside a hole on a cave. The remaining children: Andreu, Manuel, and Francisa are witnesses to these tragic events.

Pepi cultive de la marijuana sur son balcon. Un flic qui habite en face, le remarque et vient chez elle pour le lui reprocher. Son regard est concupiscent si bien qu'elle soulève sa robe et lui propose de faire l'amour en échange de son silence. Le flic accepte. Elle lui précise toutefois qu'il doit passer par «derrière», ne voulant pas perdre sa virginité, qu'elle voulait monnayer pour 60 000 ptas, comme on l'apprendra plus tard. Le policier refuse et la pénètre. Il réalise en entendant ses cris que Pepi était réellement vierge. Celle-ci décide alors de se venger de ce viol avec l'aide de Bom et son groupe de musiciens, mais aussi celle de Luci, la femme masoschiste, mais abandonnée, du policier «qui la traite comme sa mère».
