The Prince of Rogues (German:Schinderhannes) is a 1928 German silent drama film directed by Curtis Bernhardt and starring Hans Stüwe, Lissy Arna and Albert Steinrück. The film's art direction was by Heinrich Richter. The story depicts the life of the 18th century outlaw Schinderhannes. It is based on a 1927 play Schinderhannes by Carl Zuckmayer.

Le lendemain, il se rend chez elle, il est accueilli par Lady Edith. Elle n'est pas seulement la cousine de lord Falkland, mais aussi sa maîtresse.

Un jeune homme fait un mariage de raison pour renflouer l'usine familiale menacée par la faillite. Il part en train avec la jeune mariée, mais se laisse fasciner par une très belle femme qui semble vouloir échapper à un compagnon inquiétant. Elle le fait passer pour son cousin et le supplie de l'aider. Il quitte le train dans la neige et rejoint le couple à son hôtel, pour aider l'inconnue à s'enfuir. Elle avouera avoir laissé son compagnon tuer son mari pour la rendre libre. L'homme la menace, prêt à se dénoncer plutôt que de la perdre. L'arrivée de la police peut conduire au drame. Un rare grand rôle muet pour Marlene Dietrich.

In 1925 Damascus, the Syrians are engaged in a guerrilla war against the French rule of Syria. Harry Smith (Humphrey Bogart) is an amoral American black marketeer secretly selling them weapons. As the situation deteriorates, French General LaSalle (Everett Sloane) orders that civilians be executed each time his soldiers are killed, but his head of military intelligence, Colonel Feroud (Lee J. Cobb), persuades him to rescind the plan. Feroud presses for negotiations with rebel leader Emir Hassan (Onslow Stevens) instead. LaSalle reluctantly lets him try to arrange a meeting, but refuses to let Feroud make contact directly. The young officer sent in his place is later found with his throat cut.
