The Rage of Paris is a 1938 American comedy film made by Universal Pictures. The movie was directed by Henry Koster, and written by Bruce Manning and Felix Jackson. It won the Venice Film Festival for Special Recommendation.

Synopsis

Nicole de Cortillon, jeune Française arrivée depuis peu à New York, cherche un emploi de modèle. Par erreur, elle se retrouve dans le bureau d'un homme d'affaires, Jim Trevor, le prenant pour un photographe professionnel. À la suite d'un malentendu, elle commence à se déshabiller pour poser. Trevor, un premier temps amusé, la flanque ensuite dehors, la prenant pour une spécialiste du chantage qui essaye de le compromettre.

John Cardwell (Adolphe Menjou), a trombone player, is only one of a large group of unemployed musicians. Patsy soon learns the truth, and also learns that her father, desperate for rent money, has used some of the cash in a Lady's evening bag he has found, to pay his debts.
