Universal has acquired the rights to Ricardo De Montreuil's short film The Raven. Mark Wahlberg is producing the feature-length project alongside partner Steve Levinson in what is being developed as a starring vehicle for the actor.

A group of soldiers led by Maj. Baker (Bradford Dillman) is ordered to investigate a basement level station which they believed was attacked. After Baker contacts his commander, Gen. Slater (Richard Widmark), they begin to investigate who drove a civilian van into the base. It is revealed to be owned by a scientist named Dr. Bradford Crane (Michael Caine), the only survivor of the attack. Slater orders two helicopters to check for a black mass (revealed to be bees), but the two helicopters are swarmed by the bees and crash, killing the pilots inside. Crane insists to Slater that the base was attacked by the same African killer bees that destroyed the helicopters. Helena Anderson (Katharine Ross), one of the base's doctors, supports Crane's story.

Alors que Ben Miller, Zoey Davis, Amanda Harper, Mike Nolan, Jason Walker et Danny Khan font connaissance dans ce qu'ils croient n'être qu'une salle d'attente, ils ont la mauvaise surprise d'apprendre qu'ils sont en fait dans la première salle du jeu qui vient de débuter. Face à la réalité du danger, ils prennent rapidement conscience que le jeu auquel ils participent est mortel, et que ses concepteurs connaissent tout de leur vie et s'en sont inspirés pour créer le thème des pièces, ainsi que les énigmes qu'ils doivent vite résoudre pour réussir à quitter la salle à temps.
