Synopsis
En vacances au bord de la mer, Max réserve une chambre en même temps qu'une jolie femme et de plus les chambres sont contiguës. Pendant la nuit, les chaussures et bottines mises dans le couloir font connaissance. Le lendemain matin Max est parti chercher l'inspiration au milieu des rochers et la femme se repose sur un banc. Mais leurs pieds ont la bougeotte et à un moment donné une chaussure et une bottine s'échappent et courent l'une vers l'autre en se retrouvant au pied d'un banc public. Max et la femme à leur tour arrivent près du banc et ce qui devait arriver arriva...un nouveau couple se forme.Actors

Dart-In-Again, a young and poor nobleman from Gascony travels to Paris hoping to become one of the King's musketeers. Max Linder returns home drunk after his bachelor party. The next morning, he is awakened by a loud noise. His valet John, while chasing his pretty maid, has broken his mirror. John claims Mary, the maid, dropped a napkin. By the time Max drags himself out of bed, Mary has cleared away the broken glass and John has gotten Max's chef to dress just like their employer. Then, when Max looks into the non-existent glass, the chef mimics his every action. Max finally realizes he is being tricked, but while he is in the other room, John sneaks in a repairman to fix the mirror. Thus when Max flings something at what he thinks is an imposter, he breaks the mirror himself, much to his surprise. Now he fears he has brought seven years bad luck on himself (a well-known superstition).

Max tombe amoureux de Lili une danseuse mais Lili n’est pas une personne légère. Max, désespéré, fait de la neurasthénie. Il va trouver un médecin de ses amis qui lui conseille de se distraire et lui offre un billet de théâtre, celui du médecin de service. Le hasard veut que ce soir-là, il y ait un malade.
