The film follows the plot of the novel by Alexandre Dumas. It is also meant as a parody of the previously released 1921 film The Three Musketeers, starring Douglas Fairbanks.
This was Linder's final American film before returning to Europe where he co-directed his last completed film in Austria, Max, der Zirkuskönig (Max, King of the Circus).
Synopsis
Dart-In-Again, a young and poor nobleman from Gascony travels to Paris hoping to become one of the King's musketeers. When he first encounter three musketeers, Walrus, Octopus and Porpoise, he starts duelling with them but rapidly becomes their friend. Together they fight the guards of Li'l Cardinal Richie-Loo, main Minister of King Louis XIII.Actors

En vacances au bord de la mer, Max réserve une chambre en même temps qu'une jolie femme et de plus les chambres sont contiguës. Pendant la nuit, les chaussures et bottines mises dans le couloir font connaissance. Le lendemain matin Max est parti chercher l'inspiration au milieu des rochers et la femme se repose sur un banc. Mais leurs pieds ont la bougeotte et à un moment donné une chaussure et une bottine s'échappent et courent l'une vers l'autre en se retrouvant au pied d'un banc public. Max et la femme à leur tour arrivent près du banc et ce qui devait arriver arriva...un nouveau couple se forme.
