Synopsis
Glenn Morgan revient du Mexique en compagnie de ses deux frères, Buddy et Jim, et d'un ami, Hugh Jeffries. Jeffries est très intéressé par le travail des Morgan sur un avion d'interception très rapide. Jim, l'aîné, est amoureux de Barbara Hawton, la fille de son patron le Colonel Hawton. Alors que Glenn est lui aussi amoureux d'elle, il feint l'indifférence pour ne pas gêner son frère. Juste avant de décoller avec un chargement de courrier, Jim propose à Barbara de l'épouser, mais elle repousse gentiment sa demande. Après son décollage, il est poursuivi par Jeffries, qui abat son avion et vole le courrier. Son corps n'ayant pas été retrouvé dans les débris de l'avion, Glenn est persuadé qu'il a été assassiné. Jeffries fait courir la rumeur que Jim se serait enfui avec le courrier, cela rend Glenn soupçonneux et il repart au Mexique pour enquêter sur le passé de Jeffries. Pendant ce temps, Jim a été recueilli par un vieux chercheur d'or. Lorsque Jeffries apprend que Jim est toujours en vie, il envoie un de ses acolytes bombarder la cabane du prospecteur, mais Jim et son sauveur arrivent à se réfugier dans la mine. Glenn est revenu du Mexique sans preuve contre Jeffries, alors il décide de lui tendre un piège. Buddy fait croire à Jeffries qu'il va transporter beaucoup d'argent lors de son prochain vol, et Glenn les suit avec le nouvel avion. Après avoir abattu Jeffries, il atterrit et retrouve Jim. Glenn demande en mariage Barbara, qui accepte, et Jim demande à être son témoin.Actors

Mrs. Bramson (Dame May Whitty) is an irascible elderly woman who holds court in a small English village. She pretends to need a wheelchair, and impulsively threatens to fire her maid, Dora (Merle Tottenham), for allegedly stealing and breaking china. Meanwhile, the household learns that the police have searched a nearby river looking for the missing villager, Mrs. Shellbrook. Dora then introduces her Irish boyfriend, Danny (Robert Montgomery), who works for Mrs. Shellbrook. Perceiving that Mrs. Bramson is a hypochondriac who only affects her need for a wheelchair, Danny is charming toward her and says that she reminds him of his mother. He tells Mrs. Bramson that he loves Dora and would marry her if he had a better job. Mrs. Bramson obliges and he becomes her servant.

À la suite d'un tuyau que lui a fourni Fern Madden, une figurante, Jimmy Burke publie un article révélant les relations d'un producteur avec la pègre. Ex-opera singer Helen Lorfield Winter (Jeanette MacDonald) rents a house in the small town of Brushy Gap, in the hills not too far from the Smokies, Blue Ridge, and Atlanta Georgia with her dog, Lassie, after the tragic death of her son. There she befriends Jerry, a young orphan (Claude Jarman Jr.). Growing attached to Jerry, but not wanting children so soon after the death of her own son, Helen leaves Brushy Gap to resume her singing career. While she is away, Jerry is caught in heavy rain returning Lassie home and develops pneumonia. Helen returns to Brushy Gap to find the owner of the house, Thomas Chandler (Lloyd Nolan), nursing Jerry back to health. Soon after Jerry has recovered, the orphanage catches on fire, and Lassie and Tom both rescue Jerry from the blaze. Helen then decides to adopt Jerry and remain in Brushy Gap.

With the land in anarchy, warring overlords, Arthur Pendragon (Mel Ferrer) and his half-sister Morgan LeFay (Anne Crawford) meet as arranged by the sorcerer Merlin (Felix Aylmer) to discuss how to end the bloodshed. Morgan maintains that as she is the only legitimate offspring of the late king, the throne belongs to her, but Merlin puts the adversaries to a test to determine England's rightful ruler. Merlin leads them to Excalbur, a sword embedded in an anvil, and says that according to legend, whoever can remove the sword shall be England's true sovereign. Morgan's knight champion Modred (Stanley Baker) tries in vain to extract the sword, but Arthur removes it easily. Mordred accuses Merlin of witchcraft, and a hearing is arranged with the Council of Kings at the circle of the stone. After advising Arthur that he must prove himself worthy of the throne by his deeds, Merlin instructs him to return the sword to the stone.

Au début du Moyen Âge, les steppes de Russie sont sous la domination des Tartares, qui ne permettent qu'aux Vikings de passer en provenance des pays du nord. L'alliance est rompue lorsqu'Oleg, le chef des Vikings, refuse de se joindre à Togrul le Tartare dans sa guerre contre les Slaves. Oleg tue Togrul et prend sa fille Samia en otage. Le frère de Togrul, Burandai, devenu chef, capture en représailles Helga, la femme d'Oleg, et la livre à ses hommes. Un échange de prisonniers est envisagé mais Samia est tombé amoureuse d'Éric, le jeune frère d'Oleg, et ne veut pas partir. De plus Helga est incapable de supporter sa honte et se jette du haut d'une tour. Oleg et Éric se disputent à propos du sort de Samia, mais ils sont interrompus par l'arrivée des Tartares. Oleg et Burandai trouvent la mort dans la bataille qui s'ensuit et la forteresse viking est détruite par un incendie. Éric et Samia arrivent à s'échapper et trouvent refuge sur un navire qui les conduit dans le Grand Nord.

An expedition team arrives on Tarzan's escarpment. By chance, the two villainous members Medford (Tom Conway) and Vandermeer (Philip Dorn) find out that there is plenty of gold on the escarpment.
