Seul film réalisé par Filopímin Fínos avant qu'il ne devienne producteur exclusivement, il fut tourné en grande partie dans la maison paternelle dans la banlieue d'Athènes. Il fut le premier film grec à avoir un son pris en direct et non doublé en studio, sauf pour les chansons interprétées par les personnages.
Le film fut un échec commercial. Les chansons n'ont aucun lien avec l'action. Les critiques ont aussi reproché l'absence de réalisation, de montage et de réel travail sur l'image.
Synopsis
Une ancienne et belle actrice américaine tombe amoureuse d'un pêcheur d'Hydra. Elle le séduit et l'attire loin de sa bien-aimée, à Athènes, en lui faisant miroiter une carrière dans la chanson, d'abord dans des cabarets. Alors qu'il doit faire ses débuts à la radio, il est pris de nostalgie pour son île et son ancienne fiancée, qui l'attend patiemment. Il abandonne tout pour y retourner.Actors

Marina, une jeune femme (Stélla Gréka) originaire d'Hydra monte à Athènes pour devenir chanteuse de cabaret. Elle a une liaison avec un marin, Vasos (Lámbros Konstandáras). Mina arrives from Patras to visit her cousin LEla. On their way to Lela's house Lela confesses that her husband, Potis, doesn't pay much attention to her and their marriage due to his work in as an owner of a soap manufacturing factory. Then Mina advices Lela to let Potis understand that she has an affair with someone called Pipis (diminutive of Spyros [or Spyrus]). In the start, doesn't realises the game that Lela plays, but after he meets with his best man Markos, who has just learnt that his wife had a relationship with another man, Potis changes his mind and starts to be suspicious of his wife. After the collection of some "clues" and the "precious" advice by Markos, he concludes that the lover of his wife is his neighbour Spyros. Spyros has a very jealous wife, Jenny, and when Lela says Potis she aims to go on an excursion in Zoumperi, and Spyrus goes top Thebes for a professional affair, Potis thinks he will surprise Spyros and Lelaand proves that his wife has a lover. So he collaborates with envious Jenny and they put a recorder toin Spyros' car to record Lela's and Spyros dialogue. But insyead the recorder catches a dialogue between Jenny andPotis and now he and Jenny seem to be lovers each other! But next morning Markos, Potis and Spyros meet at a cafe and the truth is revealed. Markos was responsible because he hwas cinemaholic and he thought that what happened in the films he watched happened also in the real life.Lastly, Mina has a wedding proposal by phone, she leaves for Patras to marry, Spyros and Jenny go to Thebes together, and Markos and his wfe return home, all these with Sppyros' car. And Lela and Potis love each other again and they together close the door of the garden with Potis promising not to forget her and their marriage again due to the soaps.

While in their high school cafeteria, Peter, also known as "Play" (Christopher "Play" Martin) announces to his friends Christopher aka "Kid" (Reid) and Bilal (Martin Lawrence) that he will be having a party at his house that night, as his parents are on vacation. The reluctant Bilal is to be the DJ. Kid is then involved in an altercation with school bully Stab (Paul Anthony) and his two brothers Pee-Wee and Zilla (Bowlegged Lou and B-Fine). When Kid comes home, he tries to convince his father, "Pop" (Robin Harris) to let him go to the party. At first Kid's father relents, but soon grounds Kid when a note from Kid's school informs him of the fight he was in. Rather than miss the party of the year, Kid sneaks out while his sleeping father is watching Dolemite - not realizing that his father woke up just as he closed the door. On his way to the party, Kid runs into Stab and his brothers, he jumps over a fence to get away, ending up looking in a window where a fat man is having rough sex with his lady, and when he is discovered, Kid jumps back over the fence, and the three punks are shot at. Kid then ducks into an Alpha Delta Sigma reunion nearby to get away from them. Crashing the reunion, Kid has the DJ (George Clinton) scratch and mix a few of his old doo wop records so that he can liven the party with a rap, until Stab and the others turn up again. When trying to get away from Stab, he winds up knocking an older man down before attempting to make a run for it. However, Kid and the bullies are caught by the neighborhood police, who humiliate the four teenagers in front of the reunion party attendees before letting them go.
