Mary Manners a hérité du don de télépathie de ses ancêtres bohémiens. Sur une petite route de campagne, le Dr John O'Neill la sauve d'un voleur et ils deviennent rapidement amis. John, qui ne connaît son père que par la pension qu'il en perçoit, rend visite à Mary, chez qui il rencontre le Juge Brainard, le père du fiancé de Mary, Robert. Alors que ce dernier, jaloux, se plaint de la présence du docteur, le juge admet que John est son fils d'un précédent mariage. Andrew Vail surprend la conversation et menace de faire chanter le vieil homme. Lors d'une bagarre, le Juge Brainard pousse Andrew du haut d'une falaise, mais c'est John qui est arrêté car des preuves l'accusent. Alors qu'il préside le procès, le juge reste silencieux alors même que le jury déclare son fils coupable mais, quand il rencontre le regard de Mary, il confesse sa culpabilité. Comme il a agi en légitime défense, il est acquitté, et il retrouve son fils et sa nouvelle belle-fille.

As described in a film magazine, La Valencia (Suratt), a stage beauty, has ensnared a young man who steels in order to shower her with the luxuries that she demands. He is caught and, after serving a 5-year term, emerges from prison a gray haired man. La Valencia comes across him again, and her passion revives. She seeks to ensnare him again, but now he is married and his old life has no charms for him. Desperate, she then threatens to reveal his past to his wife, which leads to a terrific climax.

As described in a film magazine review, Caroline (Suratt) works at a hair dressing parlor. A wealthy man falls in love with her, takes her home in his automobile, and proposes on the curb. He finally dies, and Caroline starts out having a good time with his money, but she sees the folly of her ways. She wakes up from the dream and turns down the offer of marriage, deciding instead to wait several years for her honest young man to return from the west.
