Ce film raconte l'histoire de Nelly (Corinne Luchaire), jeune détenue rebelle au grand cœur, et d'Yvonne (Annie Ducaux), nouvellement promue directrice de maison de correction pour jeunes filles. Au début du film, Yvonne, jeune directrice aux méthodes novatrices, prend en charge la direction d'un établissement pénitentiaire pour jeunes filles situé dans les environs de Nice. Les sévices et autres brimades infligés aux pensionnaires par l'ancienne directrice et ses subordonnées ne font qu'envenimer la situation parmi les détenues. Ne supportant pas le traitement infligé à la pauvre Nelly, après une bagarre suite au déchargement d'un camion de charbon, Yvonne décide de faire appliquer sur-le-champ ses nouvelles méthodes « pédagogiques », ce qui a pour effet de rendre les détenues, la jeune Nelly en tête, plus calmes et civilisées. Nelly finit par se faire nommer « aide-soignante » dans l'infirmerie de la prison, et succombe vite au charme du docteur Guy Maréchal (Roger Duchesne), qui n'est autre que le fiancé d'Yvonne. Nelly, apprenant la liaison du médecin et d' Yvonne, choisit de ne pas dénoncer sa camarade Renée (Ginette Leclerc), laquelle a volé de l'alcool à l'infirmerie et s'est saoulée, non sans avoir semé la zizanie dans la prison. Par loyauté envers Yvonne qui n'est toujours pas au courant de sa liaison avec le docteur Maréchal, Nelly choisit de porter le chapeau pour le vol d'alcool. Mais Renée finit par tout avouer à Yvonne, qui choisit de pardonner à Nelly, et laisse partir son prétendant à Pondichéry sans elle. Tout ceci se conclut par la libération de la jeune Nelly, et conforte Yvonne dans ses méthodes humanistes de directrice de prison., 1h21

In Gothenburg a gang of five black teenage boys act out an elaborate scheme for taking the belongings of one Asian and two white teenage boys, in which the blacks play good cop/bad cop (this is previewed a the very start of the film with an earlier theft from two different boys). First they ask the time. When one of the victims checks the time on his mobile phone they claim it looks like the one that was stolen from a brother of one of them. Frank (Jon Foster) is an active member of fictional fraternity Sigma Zeta Chi, and hazes pledges for initiation by forcing them to believe they are going to rob convenience stores. Adam (Trevor Morgan) and Kevin (Lou Taylor Pucci) are pledges who go with Frank to rob the stores. Before they enter the store, another active brother gives them the money and reveals it was a break designed to test their bravery. In 1988, businessman Oh Dae-su (Choi Min-sik) is arrested for drunken behavior, missing his daughter's 4th birthday. After his friend, Joo-hwan (Ji Dae-han), picks him up from the police station, they go to a phone booth to call home to let Dae-su's family know of his whereabouts. While Joo-hwan is talking to Dae-su's wife on the phone, Dae-su is kidnapped. He wakes up in a solitary confinement in a hotel-like prison. Confined with no human contact or explanation for his kidnapping and frequently gassed with a possibly mind altering drug, Dae-su soon learns through news reports his wife has been murdered, and he is the prime suspect. Dae-su passes the time shadowboxing, planning revenge, and secretly attempting to tunnel out of his cell.
