Nandagopal (Suresh Gopi), an associate editor with Keralareshmi, one of the leading dailies, is aggressive and daring and enjoys a good reputation among the media circle. The movie sketches through the life of an Army Man enriched with so many emotional sequences. Brigadier Rajashekharan Nambiar is a strict and tough officer in Indian Army. Dr. Sunny is his neighbor in native now he is in Army too. Susanna is a typical Army Nurse who has so much liabilities which hooks her down. Movie starts as a flash back. Rajashekaran gets a call from hospital saying that Susanna's health conditions are getting bad. He goes to convent where his daughter (Manju Warrior) studies. He takes her to mother. On the way he opens the hidden memories about Susanna, whereas he told her she was no more. The Movie goes to climax with the revealing of the flash back. Rajashekharan was a a strict officer but weak hearted to woman. He always flirts with nurses and other who are in the camps. Also he was a drunken man and a massive smoker. One day he see Susan on and tries the same. But she don't pay attention to him. Which makes him more intense to her. Later he manages Sunny to convince her. They got married. Rajashekharan was from a royal family, so his family members not much interested with new spouse. When the time passes they gets closer to her. Meanwhile new irritations starts to bud in between new couple. Even after one year they don't have a child. Rajshekharan gets hard to her, she tries to suicide, but survives. He understands his guilty and the story again goes good, they have a baby girl. too. When all are going good some unexpected tragedies blasts the story lines.

The story revolves around Johnny (Murali) and Annie (Madhavi), a married couple who had both grown up together in an orphanage, fallen in love and had got married. The couple have four children; the eldest being a teenage girl named Meenu, twin boys Rony and Tony, and the youngest Monu, a toddler. Rony and Tony are about 8 years old and are very close to each other. Rony is physically handicapped. Johnny is a jeep driver by profession and Annie a violin teacher. Though the family struggles to live and make ends meet, they lead a happy life together, except for the moments when Johnny, a recurrent alcoholic spends most of his daily earnings at the local toddy shop. During an altercation between Johnny and the local milk delivery man Keshavan (N F Varghese), the latter is humiliated in front of his family. Keshavan therefore decides to take revenge on Johnny.

The film begins with Police Officer Jeevan(Biju Menon) taking charge of Mangalore city Police. He learns from his suboridinate Sudhakaran Nair(Sadiq) that the city is still ruled by underworld don Govindji (Thilakan). Navaneeth Krishnan a.k.a. Kishanji (Suresh Gopi) is Govindji's lead henchman. Govindji acts as a sort of Godfather to him. Kishan has a face-off with Jeevan and Jeevan gets injured in the fight. Jeevan later is surprised to see Kishan during a train journey but it turns out that it is Ananthakrishnan a.k.a. Ananthu (Suresh Gopi), Kishan's identical twin; who unlike Kishan is a well educated and righteous person. Jeevan visits their family home in Kerala to confirm the facts. He learns that Kishan, despite being from a well-off family and being topper at school, ran off during his teenage and joined the gangs of Mangalore owing to a punishing father(Narendra Prasad). Jeevan also meets Kishen's uncle(Nedumudi Venu) and his daughter Manikkutty(Lena) who is Ananthu's fiancee.

A 10-year-old orphan raises his hand against a police officer who commits an act of injustice. Impressed, Sekharan (Murali), the godfather-like gang leader who cares for the poor, gives him shelter. The boy grows up to be Sekharan's most trusted associate, Madhavan (Suresh Gopi). Sekharan's daughter Sarada (Lakshmi Gopalaswami) is married to Sarath Chandran (Manoj K. Jayan), a town planning officer. A real-estate group, Kottooran Group, in collusion with finance minister Reghuram (Shammi Thilakan), wants to forcibly evict over 6,000 families from the land for a Smart-City-type industrial project. Sekharan is able to foil the plans of the Kottoorans with the help of the Chief Minister (Rajan P. Dev). Thus begins the feud between the Kottoorans and Sekharan. The real brain behind the Kottoorans and the person who remained in the background now comes out into the open.
