The Three from the Filling Station (German:Die Drei von der Tankstelle) is a 1955 West German musical film directed by Hans Wolff and starring Adrian Hoven, Walter Müller and Walter Giller. After losing their money, three young men go to work at a filling station where they all fall in love with the same woman.

The film is a remake of the 1930 UFA film The Three from the Filling Station.
It was one of a series of remakes made during the 1950s of major hits during the Weimar and Nazi eras.

The young Count Georg Wolkersheim (Willy Fritsch) is sent to the Congress of Vienna to represent the interests of his country, Reuss-Schleiz-Greiz. Tensions arise between the count, his wife Melanie (Maria Holst), and their two chamberlains (Hans Moser and Theo Lingen), and when the four of them attend a court ball, Melanie leaves Georg, assumes the identity of a famous actress, and attracts the affections of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria (Fred Liewehr). Georg quits the ball and returns to his lodgings to wait for his wife. Meanwhile, the two servants plot to further inflame Georg's jealousy by posing as Ludwig to commission a portrait of Melanie from the famous artist Moritz Daffinger (Egon von Jordan). The next day, however, Georg and Daffinger expose the servants' ruse, Ludwig reveals to Melanie that he has discovered her true identity, and all is forgiven.

The film is set in Viennese high society of about 1900. After a masked carnival ball, Gerda Harrandt (Hilde von Stolz), wife of the surgeon Carl Ludwig Harrandt (Peter Petersen), allows the fashionable artist Ferdinand von Heidenick (Adolf Wohlbrück) to paint a portrait of her wearing only a mask and a muff. This muff however belongs to Anita Keller (Olga Tschechowa), in secret the painter's lover but also the fiancée of the court orchestra director Paul Harrandt (Walter Janssen), the brother of Gerda's husband.

Peu de gens connaissent le nom du peintre viennois Stefan Helmers. Sa petite amie, Anita Berger, est employée comme styliste dans l'élégante maison de couture de René Valentin. Un jour, Stefan reçoit étonnamment l'ordre de concevoir un vitrail dans la vieille église d'un petit village du Salzkammergut. Fou de joie, les deux jeunes partent. Anita n'a même pas jugé nécessaire de faire une demande de congé auprès de son patron. René Valentin est donc un peu perplexe lorsqu'il lit sur une note le message succinct que son employée dût partir soudainement. Les brouillons de la nouvelle ligne-A lui seront envoyés plus tard.

Le jeune compositeur Franz Schubert doit mettre sa guitare en gage pour payer son loyer. Emmy, la fille du prêteur en gage, est si séduite par son allure simple et amicale qu'elle lui fait payer un montant plus élevé que l'instrument. Bientôt les deux jeunes gens se rapprochent. Le chef d'orchestre Antonio Salieri a entendu parler du talent de Schubert, lui fait passer un entretien et l'engage comme professeur assistant. Schubert est ensuite invité à une soirée pour les nouveaux talents organisée par madame Kinsky. Quand le Viennois présente sa symphonie inachevée, au cours de son exécution, il lui vient soudainement à l'esprit plusieurs fins possibles qu'il présente dans sa ferveur immature. Le public se met à rire, Schubert est en colère et quitte la soirée.

Le meneur de la revue, Alexander Korty, aurait eu de nombreuses aventures dont les magazines font régulièrement rapport. Lui-même a du mal à convaincre sa femme Gertie de sa loyauté, mais il est en fait surveillé en permanence par son employée, M Sauerbier. Chez Korty, son attaché de presse, Otto Schräge, doit toujours recevoir la visite des dames. Quand la nouvelle chanteuse de Korty, Lilian Amado, demande à Korty de répéter les chansons de la revue, Otto se rend à l'hôtel avec son ami Fritz, où il rencontre la jolie Topsy Müller au kiosque à journaux. Elle le prend pour Alexander Korty et danse. Son père, Blasius, n'est pas ravi des ambitions de sa fille et lorsqu'il voit qu'Otto embrasse Topsy, ses pires craintes concernant la revue se confirment. Il expulse Otto et écrit une lettre à Alexander Korty dans laquelle il lui refuse sa fille de quelque manière que ce soit.
