The film consists of 3 stories adapted from the Brazilian TV series Além, Muito Além do Além (Beyond, Much Beyond the Beyond): O Acordo (The Agreement), A Procissão dos Mortos (Procession of Dead), and Pesadelo Macabro (Macabre Nightmare).
Synopsis
The Agreement (O Acordo) A mother becomes involved with black magic and offers a virgin woman to the devil in exchange for curing the illness of her only son. (40 minutes) Procession of Dead (A Procissão dos Mortos) A poor laborer is the only man in one village with courage to face a group of guerrilheiros ("guerrilla ghosts") that haunt the minds of the local villagers. (28 minutes) Macabre Nightmare (Pesadelo Macabro) A young man named Claudio (Mário Lima) is obsessed by fear of reptiles and spiders and the fear of being buried alive. When he undergoes a shocking event, he becomes unresponsive and is mistakenly buried, only to revive in the coffin after burial. Vitório Palestrina is a playboy millionaire who passes his days sleeping with, abusing and discarding the local women in a small village. After seducing a young woman, Silvia, he brutally rapes her, biting off one of her nipples in the process. He keeps the nipple in a glass case as a sort of trophy. When his actions become public knowledge, he is actually admired for what he has done, while his victim is ostracized and tormented by the townspeople.

Playing himself, and having filmed the final scene of his most recent movie, Jose Mojica Marins gives an interview discussing his plans for his next film. After an interviewer asks Marins about the true existence of Coffin Joe, Marins replies “Coffin Joe does not exist”. A camera light then explodes. Young couple Juvenal and Mariana go on a trip and Juvenal unknowingly takes some pictures of a strange elderly lady (played by Wanda Kosmo) who is eventually revealed to be a sinister witch. The witch then places a curse on the man for photographing her. A wound begins to open in his side which has an agonizing hunger for raw meat which he must constantly feed in order to stop the burning pain. Perplexing his doctors, Juvenal's wound becomes hungrier as the film progresses, the man becomes delirious and murders his wife, thinking she will leave him because of his condition. The witch then reappears and coaxes him into feeding the wound with the body of his dead wife. The separate skeletons of the couple are discovered lying next to each other by police months later.

In the film's first portion, filmed in B&W, Dr. Sergio, a psychiatrist, appears on a television program on a panel with three other contemporary psychiatrists after he claims to have conducted experiments on four volunteer drug addicts with LSD in order to investigate his claim that sexual perversion is caused by use of illegal drugs. As evidence, he presents a series of documented accounts of drug use which lead to lewd and bizarre sexual acts. Marins appears (as himself) on the panel with the psychiatrists as some type of expert on the subject of depravity. During the program, Dr. Sergio recounts the experiment to his colleagues on the panel, who reject his claims.

The story is built around a montage of scenes that were omitted or censored from four of Marins' earlier films: Awakening of the Beast, This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse, The Bloody Exorcism of Coffin Joe and The Strange World of Coffin Joe.
