Turkse Chick is a 2006 Dutch comedy short-film written and directed by Lodewijk Crijns and starring Yolanthe Cabau van Kasbergen and Julian Wolf. It was distributed by Motel Films.

Synopsis

Fokko (Wolf) is a teenage boy on his way to the local skatepark when he notices a beautiful Muslim Turkish girl ahead of him. Distracted by her beauty, he runs into a large flower pot and falls, his pants falling around his ankles. Embarrassed, he collects himself. The Turkish girl, Dilara (Kasbergen), hands his phone over to him, which he'd dropped. She continues on, leaving Fokko mesmerized. Later at the skatepark, Fokko and his friends spend time attempting skating stunts. Fokko notices Dilara is present speaking to some men. Fokko's friends tell him to forget her, saying that any chance of romance with her is impossible due to her strict elder brothers not allowing any man near her. Unfazed, Fokko performs a stunt that impresses her. Trying to impress her further, he attempts another stunt that goes awry after his pants fall again. Losing his concentration, he lands hard on the concrete, knocking himself unconscious after his skateboard strikes him on the head.

Natasha (Kim van Kooten) goes to Limburg to collect her brother Ramses (Hans Teeuwen), who has joined a sect, prying him from the cult so he can consent to cutting their father's life support. The cult's leader Pieter Bouwman frowns upon sexual activity and, to prevent sex from happening, they have put a kind of lock, self-applied by way of piercing on the male member's penises. Ramses slowly develops a mind of his own and falls in love with Natasha's roommate, Lonneke (Dijn Blom). Ramses finds out that his sister and the nursing home staff are essentially trying to kill his father (Peer Mascini), and ends up delivering his father to a crackpot zealous Palestinian who prophesies the return of Christ. Like in many other Monicelli movies, the main theme of Amici miei is friendship, seen from a rather bitter point of view. It tells the story of four middle-aged friends in Florence who organize together idle pranks (called zingarate, "gypsy shenanigans") in a continuous attempt to prolong childhood during their adult life.

In the village of Flåklypa, Lom, Gudbrandsdalen (En. Pinchcliffe), the inventor Reodor Felgen (En. Theodore Rimspoke) lives with his animal friends Ludvig (En. Lambert) (a nervous, pessimistic and melancholic hedgehog) and Solan (En. Sonny Duckworth) (a cheerful and optimistic magpie). Reodor works as a bicycle repairman, though he spends most of his time inventing weird Rube Goldberg-like contraptions. One day, the trio discover that one of Reodor's former assistants, Rudolf Blodstrupmoen (En. Rudolph Gore-Slimey), has stolen his design for a race car engine and has become a world champion Formula One driver. Solan secures funding from Arab oil sheik Ben Redic Fy Fazan (En. Abdul Ben Bonanza), who happens to be vacationing in Flåklypa, and to enter the race, the trio builds a gigantic racing car: Il Tempo Gigante—a fabulous construction with two extremely big engines (weighing 2.8 tons alone and making the seismometer in Bergen show 7.8 Richter when started the first time), a body made out of copper, a spinning radar (that turns out to be useful when Blodstrupmoen starts engaging in smoke warfare during the race) and its own blood bank. Reodor ends up winning despite Blodstrupmoen's attempts at sabotage.
