Vaadhyar (Malayalam: വാദ്ധ്യാർ, Vāadhyar ; English: Teacher) is a 2012 Malayalam film directed by debutant Nidheesh Sakthi and written by Rajesh Raghavan, Produced by N Sudhish under the banner of Lakshminath Creations, and the music is composed by Manoj George and Rinil Gowtham. The film stars Jayasurya in the title role.
The film is about a government school teacher named Anoop Krishnan, his dream is to become an MBA holder, but circumstances force him to take up teaching profession. He is chosen to work at Kottapuram Saraswathi Vilasam U.P.School, he doesn't do his job properly as he works there with no interest and the problems that occur leads to the rest of the story.

Jayaraman (Jayasurya) is popularly known as Kunjaliyan (Young Brother-in-law) in Gopalapuram, a village in the Kerala–Tamil Nadu border. He is the younger brother of three sisters. The sisters were caring him as their own child since the death of his father and mother. Jayaraman was the pet of his sisters and he was not interested in to do any job. He is lazy. Everything was perfect until the sisters got married. The brothers in law were not interested in Jayaraman at all and they were not considered him as their younger brother. The setting of the story is a picturesque village in the high ranges of Kerala, called Balanpillai City. Elsamma (Ann Augustine) is the eldest among 4 daughters of KPAC Lalitha. After her father's death, she started working as a newspaper agent/ local reporter/ delivery girl to earn some extra income.
