Synopsis
Une chaîne de télévision est contactée par une communauté de vampires belges pour un reportage. Après quelques essais manqués (qui coûtent la vie aux reporters envoyés sur place), une équipe parvient à pénétrer le quotidien de la famille de Georges Saint-Germain, sa femme Bertha, Samson son fils incapable et sa fille Grace en pleine crise d’adolescence. An abandoned ship crashes into a dockyard in Brooklyn, New York, and the ship inspector, Silas Green, finds it full of corpses. Elsewhere, Julius Jones, Silas's nephew, has a run-in with some Italian mobsters. Just as the two goons are about to kill Julius, Maximillian, a suave, mysterious vampire (who arrived on the ship in his intricately carved coffin), intervenes and kills them. Baron Osvaldo Lambertenghi is forced to sell his ancestral castle for debts. The manor is ingloriously transformed into a frivolous hotel and Osvaldo is allowed to continue to live there working as a porter. The film is set in the heart of Transylvania and the story appears to take place sometime during the mid-19th Century. Professor Abronsius, formerly of the University of Königsberg and his apprentice Alfred are on the hunt for vampires. Abronsius is old and withering and barely able to survive the cold ride through the wintry forests, while Alfred is bumbling and introverted. Two college students, Keith and AJ, want to hire a stripper to buy their way into a campus fraternity.
