Lokanatham (Gummadi) is the proprietor of Annapurna Rice Mill, and Paramesam (N.T. Ramarao) works as Gumasta under him. Both characters compose the team Todu Dongalu and commit various crimes. One day, one of the factory employees Ramudu (Maddali) dies of electrocution. Todu Dongalu throw his dead body from the hill top without the knowledge of the other employees. Paramesam feels guilty and suffers from a heart problem, and the ghost of Ramudu tries to empower Paramesam to stay alive. Several doctors declare that he would not live more than a month, so Paramesam goes to a nearby town for peace of mind. He encounters an employee who is living an idealist life. This transforms him and he returns to the village, convinces his proprietor and sanctions compensation of 2,000 ₹ to the family of the bereaved Ramudu. This relieves him from the mental anguish he suffered. The proprietor hands over the factory keys to him with confidence.

Maharajah of Malava Kingdom was killed. The kingdom is ruled by his younger brother Rudrasimha (S. V. Ranga Rao). The son heirs the kingdom is Jayasimha (N. T. Rama Rao). Vijayasimha (Kanta Rao) is son of Rudrasimha. Rudrasimha tried to kill Jayasimha twice and to occupy the kingdom completely. Knowing about this, Jayasimha overnight ran away from the kingdom. Maharajah of neibouring kingdom was arrested by the enemies and escapes with his daughter. Jayasimha saves the Princess (Waheeda Rehman) and later releases Maharajah. They love each other. He lives in the house of valiant Ranadhir (Gummadi) with the name of Bhavani. Ranadhir has a son Subuddhi (Relangi) and a daughter Kalindi (Anjali Devi). Kalindi loves Jayasimha. Senadhipati (Rajanala) tries to control the Princess. Rudrasimha and Senadhipati jointly plan to arrest the Maharajah and Jayasimha. After knowing Jayasimha considers her as his sister, Kalindi dies in attempting to save Jayasimha. Jayasimha with the help of Vijayasimha exterminates the enemies. Rudrasimha, the traitor is killed by his son Vijayasimha. Jayasimha becomes the Maharajah and rules both the kingdoms.

A story of two rival kings, played by R. Balasubramaniam and T.E. Krishnamachari, Sivaji Ganesan is the son of the latter. Krishnamachari is under the influence of an ambitious spiritual guru (Nambiar) who manipulates the king for his own ends. The prince works hard to prevent him from achieving his designs. He moves around the kingdom incognito fighting for people’s rights. During this time he meets and falls in love with a dancer (Padmini). The rival king’s daughter Lalitha is also in love with him... The wily advisor (Veerappa) of the other king tries to work out things in his favour and marry the dancer. After many twists and turns, the villains are exposed and the princess sacrifices her love in favour of the dancer.

Sekhar (Akkineni Nageswara Rao), a wealthy man, goes to comfort his friend (Chalam) in a nature cure hospital. He is impressed with the services of Sharada (Anjali Devi), and the two of them fall in love. Sekhar goes abroad for higher education, and they plan to marry after he returns; however, his elders consider marrying him to Lakshmi (Jamuna Ramanarao). Sekhar's plane crashes and everyone believes him dead. Sharada's father looks after the agricultural works of Sekhar's father (Gummadi Venkateswara Rao). One day he visits their house and discovers the condition of Sekhar's family and orphaned brothers and sisters. He and the elders think that if Sharada is married to Sekhar's father, the family will be taken care of, so Sharada marries him.
