It represents the directorial debut film of Giovanni Fago (here credited as Sidney Lean). On the set of this film Gianni Garko got to know Susanna Martinkova, a Czechoslovakian actress at her debut in an Italian production, who little later married the actor and had a daughter with him.
Synopsis
Bounty hunter John delivers four wanted criminals, all of them dead. When he checks out the new posters at the sheriff's office he recognises his half-brother Clint on one of them. John could never forget how Clint out of jealousy killed their mutual father and how he blamed the misdeed on John who instead of his brother spent 10 years in prison. Now Clint is good for 6000 dollars. John has no reservations to go after him because it was Clint who rendered John an outcast with no other chance left to make a living other than by becoming a bounty hunter. When John eventually gets to him, Clint is just fighting with his gang about a booty of 100.000 dollars.Actors

Local crime boss Manuel kidnaps Dolores, the daughter of rich rancher Mendoza. Her father hires Django to free his child. Unfortunately Django fails to surprise Manuel's men. They punish him severely. A friendly woman finds him and thanks to her tendance he proves able to recover. To his dismay she dies when Manuel's gang robs a stagecoach. Django becomes painfully aware he has rested to long. He picks up his revolver again and does what he does best.

A stagecoach is attacked by a gang led by Morgan (Kinski). Sartana (Garko) arrives on the scene and kills the robbers except for Morgan who gets away. Soon after, another stagecoach is robbed and the passengers murdered by a Mexican gang, at the order of General Jose Manuel Mendoza (Sancho). However, the gang is ambushed and killed by Lasky (Berger) and his men. Lasky then tells to his gang that he will meet them later. As the men are about to open the strongbox from the coach, Lasky kills them all with a Gatling gun. After opening the box and seeing it only contained rocks instead of gold, he heads into town to meet Jeff Stewal (Sydney Chaplin) and Alman (Gianni Rizzo), a politician and a banker, to collect his payment as part of an insurance fraud.

At the start of the story the band of Sanchez ambushes a military transport escorting $100.000 to Omaha. He leaves together with two men to take the money to Mexico, while the other gang members dress in the uniforms of the dead soldiers and continue the transport, to use this as a cover to enter and rob the bank of Omaha. This nifty plan is undone by the bounty hunter Hank Fellow, who has been watching the attack in the telescopic sight of his rifle – without firing or otherwise interfering. He then takes his time following Sanchez’ group, unnerving the men with some long range pot shots, before confronting and killing them in a stand up gunfight at close range. Then he hurries back to warn the town, and the ”soldiers” are ambushed at the bank and killed, most of them by Fellows himself.
