It tells the story of a mysterious traveling circus that arrives in a village accompanied by a sunglass-wearing cat named Mokol. When the cat's glasses are removed, people in the village appear bathed in different colours that reflect their true feelings.
The film won two major awards at the Cannes Film Festival in 1963, including the C.S.T. Prize and Special Jury Prize, Cannes.
Synopsis
Le vieil Oliva observe du haut du clocher les habitants de son village de Tchécoslovaquie. Alors qu'un couple de cigognes vole dans le ciel, le directeur de l'école tire et abat l'une d'elles. Il veut l'empailler pour sa collection pédagogique, contre l'avis du maître d'école, Robert, qui préfère qu'on étudie les animaux vivants.Actors

Andula is a working-class young woman living in a fading Czech factory town, where, due to an oversight in central state planning, women outnumber men 16-1. The film opens with an intimate scene between Andula and her fellow shoe-factory-worker friend as they lie in bed in their dormitory discussing the ring given to Andula by her boyfriend Tonda and gossiping about her mildly flirtatious encounter with a forest ranger, which is shown in flashback.

Au Maghreb, les colons français se préparent à entrer en guerre contre les troupes du roi déchu et ses alliés européens, ennemis de la France. Puss in Boots is a talking cat named for his wearing boots and is a fugitive on the run from the law, looking to restore his lost honour. He learns that the outlaw couple Jack and Jill have the magic beans he's been looking for most of his life, beans that can lead him to a giant's castle holding valuable golden goose eggs. When Puss tries to steal them from the outlaws' room, female cat Kitty Softpaws interrupts, and both fail. Kitty is allied with Humpty Alexander Dumpty, a talking egg and Puss' long-estranged childhood friend from the orphanage where he was raised. Puss tells Kitty his origin story and of his feelings of betrayal for a youthful misadventure when Humpty tricked Puss into helping commit a bank robbery in his hometown of San Ricardo; Puss has been on the run since. Humpty convinces Puss to join them in finding the beans and retrieving the golden eggs.
