Synopsis
Orphelin depuis l'enfance, Tom Black Bull, un jeune indien, vit seul dans une forêt du Colorado avec son ours apprivoisé. Forcé à quitter sa vie d'ermite, le jeune homme se prend alors de passion pour les chevaux et se fait recruter par Red Dillon, une ancienne vedette de rodéo. Grâce à ce dernier, Tom devient vite un grand champion mais il découvre aussi le revers de la médaille.Actors

Because of his drunkenness and questionable use of firearms, aging U.S. Marshal Rooster Cogburn (John Wayne) has been stripped of his badge. But he's given a chance to redeem himself after a village in Indian Territory is overrun by a gang of violent, ruthless criminals, who've killed an elderly preacher, Rev. George Goodnight (Jon Lormer). His spinster daughter, Eula Goodnight (Katharine Hepburn), wants to join Cogburn to track the criminals down, becoming his unwilling partner. In 1878, Chiefs Little Wolf (Ricardo Montalban) and Dull Knife (Gilbert Roland) led over three hundred starved and weary Cheyenne from their reservation in the Oklahoma territory to their traditional home in Wyoming. Sheriff Bull Harper (George Mathews) is taking "Comanche" Todd (Richard Widmark), a white man who has lived most of his life among the Indians, to be tried for the murder of Harper's three brothers.
