Synopsis
Dans les années soixante, Riichi est un petit garçon turbulent qui, dans sa désobéissance et sa désinvolture, tient de son père, un bon à rien qui se laisse vivre au crochet de sa femme. Le couple vit avec le grand père un homme qui s’occupe et partage quelques bêtises avec son petit fils. Riichi forme avec Gasu et Kôtetsu une petite bande qui a maille à partir avec un autre gang de gosses. Un jour la situation familiale se détériore et la mère décide de quitter le foyer laissant les deux hommes et le petit garçon par eux-mêmes. Riichi décident alors de partir lui aussi avec ses deux copains vers une île.Actors

In Osaka in the 1970s, a teenage street-fighter named Kazuyoshi Tamai builds a reputation as the toughest guy in town. His troubles start when he discovers that he and his best friend Toshio are in love with the same girl, Ritsuko. Then he crosses paths with Takeshi, a student at a rival high school and an excellent fighter in his own right, who is the leader of the gang of assaulters. A young boy named Tadashi Ino moves to a small town after the divorce of his parents. At a local festival, he is picked to be that year's "Kirin Rider," a protector of all things good. He soon discovers that his new title is quite literal, as a nefarious spirit named Yasunori Kato appears. Originally a human who became a demon from the strength of his hatred for humans, Kato desires vengeance against their actions on the Yokai. To carry out his revenge, Kato allies himself with a Yokai named Agi while he summons a fiery spirit called Yomotsumono, composed of the resentment of the many things which mankind has discarded. With Yomotsumono's flames, Kato feeds it Yokai which are used as ingredients in creating violent junkyard Tsukumogami under his control that capture other Yokai to build their numbers while killing humans. One of such Yokai, Sunekosuri, escaped and befriended Tadashi who attempts to obtain the Daitenguken from the mountain as part of being the Kirin Rider. However, he wimped out at the last second and with trickery by Shōjō, who picked Tadashi out, the boy overcame the test. Accompanied by Shōjō, Kawahime, and Kawataro, Tadashi makes his way to the DaiTengu who gives him a sword before being taken away by the Tsukumogami. In spite of Tadashi's attempts, the sword is broken as Agi takes Sunekosuri as her captive before the boy is knocked unconscious.

By 2025, fifteen years after the events of Zebraman, Tokyo has renamed itself Zebra City, and has instituted a "Zebra Time" starting at 5:00 AM/PM for 5 minutes (in which all crime is legal) the government allows the Zebra Police to attack any and all presumed criminals. One Zebra Time results in the attempted murder of Shinichi Ichikawa, also known as Zebraman.
