Yuga is a South Indian Tamil film released in 2006.
The story is about a scientist who stays at Kollimalai Hills to find ways and means to tackle the rocks that are to fall from moon and destroy the earth. The problems that he encounters in his mission forms the crux. It is a convoluted story that makes you to leave reasoning and logic in cold storage.
Nasser as usual is good at his role. Swarnamalya gets an opportunity to show her acting talent. Unfortunately Richard, who had a good outing in Naalai recently just plays a second fiddle. Charuhaasan has nothing much to do.
The movie begins with Professor Narendran, who finds out that rocks from lunar craters would fall on earth and destroy the world soon. Narendran and his assistant Swarnamalya choose to keep it as a secret and decide not to create panic in the earth. They are joined by a group of students which include Richard, 'Boys' Manikandan in accomplishing their mission. They come across a different problem. Swarnamalya's father Charu Hassan led by a group of men forms a cult. They decide to die and plan to take revenge on the humans for polluting the world. Narendran and his team comes to know of their plans. The rest is how they tackle both the problems.
The computer graphics and the brisk background score by Dheena are the highlights of the movie.
A major portion of the movie has been shot in Kollimalai hills and Sibiyon has captured the locales well.
Had Kannan showed more focus in the screenplay, Yuga could have been different.

Vijaykant (Gopichand) is an orphan who dreams of becoming a police officer from childhood. First Gangaram cleans up Talwar gang and plans to travel Kenya where Khalid is on a one-day private trip. When Gangaram is getting ready for Kenya, Police raid the house and prove his illegal contacts with Mafia. Gangaram finds it very soon that he was trapped in the plan of Khalid and DIG Bharathnandan who used him as a tool to clean their Mafia opponent, Talwar.In an interview by the Telugu new channel 9, Gangaram starts cry that his own department framed him and states that he will become a gangster and kill everyone who was involved in framing him including the DIG and ACP. An adamant Gangaram escapes from the police and re-establishes himself as Gangu Bhai, the Mafia Don. Pavitra, the love interest of Gangaram finds out her mother was killed by the DIG. In a friendly encounter, he kills the DIG and goes to Malaysia where he meets Khalid. After he gets there he gets beat up by Khalid but he escapes and in a wild chase, Gangaram and Khalid battle on a helicopter rooftop and Gangaram kills Khalid and puts 10 bullets in him. The movie ends when Audience finds out that Gangaram has been set up by the DGP (Prakash Raj) for eliminating all the gangsters. He then asks the DGP to remove all the cases against him so that he can come back and join the Police force again, but the DGP says it's not that easy as he had killed police officers too. Instead, he tells him to start and run a mafia gang in Malaysia and operate there so that He can be of a relief that Mafia Gang is under Police itself. Gangaram then calls his gang and Pavitra to come to Malaysia and gets settled there.

The movie revolves around a Tamil pop singer Inderjeet based in Bangalore who has a large female following. Nanda Gopal a.k.a. Nandu (Mahesh Babu) is a professional assassin, and Malli (Sonu Sood) is his partner. State level opposition party leader Shiva Reddy (Sayaji Shinde) wants someone to attempt an assassination on him so that he can gain sympathy votes in the upcoming elections and become the new Chief Minister after promoting his party in such conditions. His colleague Baji Reddy (Kota Srinivasa Rao) with the help of Farooq (Posani Krishna Murali) hooks him up with Nandu for a deal for ₹1.5 crores. After receiving the payment, Nandu and Malli plan the fake assassination attempt at the promotion campaign held nearby and they choose a nearby building to hide and a car to escape. However, before Nandu can shoot Shiva Reddy, someone else fatally shoots him. Within minutes, police surround the building. Just before the exit of the building, a big car accident occurs on the street with Nandu's car. Nandu assumes that Malli got trapped and died in the accident. So Nandu goes to the top of the skyscraper. With the police behind him and in front of him, he is helpless. Suddenly a train comes and Nandu uses a rope to jump from the skyscraper to the train. On the train, Nandu meets Pardhasaradhi a.k.a. Pardhu (Rajiv Kanakala) and travels with him.

Childhood Friends Aravind and Rishi struggled for film industry fame before Aravind's films with Rishi as hero become. They made two blockbuster films together. Then Aravind thought of directing a new story written by a new writer and made a job offer to some writers. He then saw a story written by a new writer on which Aravind's co-director unfortunately dropped some ink on the script. Aravind found the script very interesting and he along with his friend Rishi planned to go on a road trip to search for inspiration to complete the remaining script of a third film. During the ride, Aravind and Rishi meet Nirupama, whom they save from goons. During the journey, Nirupama asked Rishi to over take a 'black car' which was moving ahead of them. Rishi then drove the car at a great speed and overtook the car but in the mean time, that 'black car' got hit by a truck but Rishi and his friends had not seen the accident, so they moved forward. Rishi slowly fell in love with Nirupama while they were staying in a cottage. But soon Aravind also found Nirupama very interesting, and he also started loving her. Aravind and Rishi then realise that the events that occurred during their journey was very similar to the script that Aravind had read earlier. The last page that he read from the script prophesized that two friends will fight with each other for a girl and, they had actually fought over Nirupama.
