Zoomates is an 8 minute animated short film directed, storyboarded and produced by Butch Hartman (creator of The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom and T.U.F.F. Puppy) and written by Seth MacFarlane (creator of Family Guy, American Dad! and The Cleveland Show). It aired on Nickelodeon's Oh Yeah! Cartoons in 1998 and Channel Frederator on February 28, 2007.
Synopsis
A girl named Helen (Jennifer Love Hewitt), who works at the zoo, tells her boss Mr. Sutten (Dee Bradley Baker) that she doesn't think it's right for the animals to be trapped there, she argues that they should live in houses like humans. After a failed attempt at disposing of her with a trapdoor, Mr. Sutten gives her three animals, Mark the Polar Bear (Thomas F. Wilson), Paul the Alligator (S. Scott Bullock), and Warren the Ostrich (Phil LaMarr), and makes a deal - If she can take them home and prove they are able to conventionally live in a house like the average human, he will shut down the zoo and release them all.Actors

The film begins with a group of Union soldiers being captured and forced to surrender at Cold Harbor, Virginia, in June 1864. They are transported to prisoner-of-war Camp Sumter, near Andersonville, Georgia. When they enter, they discover a former comrade, named Dick Potter, who explains the grim realities of daily existence in the camp – primarily the lack of shelter, clean water, and regular food supplies. He also states the danger of a rogue group of Union soldiers, called the "Raiders", who hoard the camp's meager rations, and lure unsuspecting "fresh fish" – newly captured soldiers – into their area of the camp, to attack and rob them.

Students from the suburbs of Philadelphia are attending a high-school graduation party at a large house owned by a rich class member's family. The Chipmunks are performing at a theme park called Majestic Movie Studios (a spoof of Universal Studios Hollywood). While taking a break from their concert, the Chipmunks get lost, and eventually get locked inside the park. They find their way to the "Frankenstein's Castle" attraction, where a real Dr. Victor Frankenstein is working on his monster. The monster is brought to life, and the doctor sends it in pursuit of the Chipmunks. In their escape, the monster retrieves Theodore's dropped teddy bear.
