Real name Fred, Freddie
Fred "Freddy" Jones is a fictional character in the American television animated series Scooby-Doo, about a quartet of teenage mystery solvers and their Great Dane companion, Scooby-Doo. He is voiced by Frank Welker.
Biography
Il est le leader du groupe avec Véra. Il dirige le groupe, donne des ordres, crée les pièges à monstres et propose à chaque épisode que le groupe se sépare en deux pour rechercher des indices. Le plus souvent, Sammy et Scooby-Doo vont d'un côté tandis que lui, Véra et Daphné vont de l'autre.Beau garçon grand et musclé, il a des cheveux blonds et des yeux noir. Il s'habille toujours avec un jeans bleu, une chemise de la même couleur que le jeans dont seul le col dépasse d'un pull blanc, parfois un foulard orange noué autour du cou et des chaussures beiges. Sa phrase favorite est « C'est l'heure des pièges ! ».
Famille
Dans la 11e saison, on apprend qu'il est le fils adoptif du maire de Crystal Cove, Fred Jones Sr.. Ses vrais parents étant en réalité Brad Chiles et Judy Reeves, membres du premier groupe Mystères associés. Ils auraient été chassés de Crystal Cove par le maire Jones qui leur a enlevé Fred, encore bébé, pour l'élever comme son propre fils. Cette version est en contradiction avec celle établie dans Scooby-Doo et le Triangle des Bermudes, où ses parents sont présentés comme un couple ordinaire et se nomment Skip et Peggy Jones. Il est l'un des descendants directs, par son oncle William, de Marie Laplaque, "la vieille sorcière des bois", pirate et fondatrice de Lighthouse Harbor.

Scooby and Shaggy take the gang to a comic book convention called the "Mega Mondo Pop! The Scooby Gang is little and hanging out in their tree house. Fred is lifting weights talking to himself in the mirror, Velma is using her computer, and Daphne is looking at her shoes and orders them to be lined up. Then Shaggy orders a pizza. The gang denies eating the pizza when it arrives. Then Scooby finds a rolled up map in his slice of pizza. The gang sets out to find the treasure of Gnarlybeard the Pirate. On the adventure they encounter Phantom Parrot and Gnarlybeard the Pirate, among others. The gang uncovers the missing treasure chest and is surprised by the contents.

The Mystery Inc. crew head to Chicago for a talent show, called Talent Star, hosted by Brick Pimiento, where songwriting duo Fred and Daphne are finalists with some high hopes. Upon arrival, they learn that the opera house which the show will be held in is being terrorized by a Phantom, who is intensely lauding one of the finalists to win, Christine, a spoiled girl whose noisy parents are no more polite than her. Fred and Daphne also befriend one of the finalists, Emma Gale, a violinist. Not to be left out, Scooby and Shaggy decide to show Pimiento a juggling act, which they are betting will take the contest by storm. However, after Pimiento states his belief that ‘juggling stinks,' throughout the film, the two continually approach Pimiento and show him numerous terrible impromptu acts.

Scooby-Doo and the gang travel to Atlantic City, where Fred enthusiastically takes them to see The Brancusi Circus. They arrive to find that the circus does not open until tomorrow, but decide to look around when they notice that the front door is unlocked. Whilst searching, they meet a man who is pursuing a werewolf that has intruded into the circus. The werewolf attacks the gang, but is eventually scared off by Velma, using a spotlight. The man thanks the gang and introduces himself as Marius Brancusi, the ringleader. Marius inherited the circus from his uncle last year and has been working to modernize it. He informs the gang that the werewolf they had encountered has been shadowing the circus for a few months, has scared off many of his artists, and has stolen jewelry wherever they are. He even suspects that the werewolf might be one of his own artists. Velma notices that this incident alludes to a case during the 18th century, in Ingolstadt, where a werewolf named Hans collected a combination of jewels which enabled him to change into a werewolf at any time. After the gang tells Marius that they solve mysteries, Marius hires them to go undercover as circus performers.

The film begins with an introductory song by Tulie, a bayou dweller, who tells the story of Valdronya and the Mystery Inc. Gang. After solving the mystery of a Cockroach Monster that terrorized a factory, Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby decide to take a much needed vacation. Velma drives everyone to Chauve Sourie Ville, a small town in Louisiana which is hosting a vampire festival called "Vampire Palooza." They meet Lita Rutland, the festival organizer, who explains that tourism is down and the festival is losing money. They also meet their host, Vincent Van Helsing, who runs a vampire museum and is an aspiring author, although his books are not selling. Jesper Poubelle, an anti-vampire agitator, is also stirring up trouble by protesting the festival. Van Helsing takes the Gang back to his museum and shows them various jewelry and a glass-faced casket containing the inert body of Valdronya, a centuries-old vampire.

Scooby-Doo and the gang travel to Camp Little Moose, Fred's old summer camp, to vacation and serve as camp counselors. But when they arrive they find the camp empty, save for Burt, the head counselor, and the local Forest Ranger, Ranger Knudsen. They discover that one of the camp's old legends, the Woodsman, has come to life and scared the kids away. Ranger Knudsen suggests Burt close the camp before leaving. Burt is about to heed the Ranger's advice when three kids, Luke, Trudy, and Deacon, arrive at the camp. Fred convinces Burt to keep the camp open until the Mystery Inc. gang discover what's going on. But the gang and the kids are soon attacked by the Woodsman. The next day, everyone decides to spend the day at Big Moose Lake, home of the rich and modern Big Moose camp. The gang are enjoying their time at the lake until they are attacked by the Fishman, another camp legend come to life. During the chase, Scooby-Doo discovers a building at the bottom of Big Moose Lake. Everyone is now very scared, especially Deacon.
