Alfredo Mayo (born Alfredo Fernández Martínez, May 17, 1911, in Barcelona - May 19, 1985, in Palma de Mallorca) was a Spanish actor.
He starred propaganda films such as Escuadrilla (1941), Harka (1941), A mí la legión (1942) but specially Raza, which script was written by Francisco Franco,under the name of Jaime de Andrade.
He becomes the biggest star in comedies, dramas or historical films such as Malvaloca (1942), by Luis Marquina; Deliciosamente tontos (1943), by Juan de Orduña, or La leona de Castilla (1951).
In the 50's he acted in supporting roles in films as El último cuplé (1957), Una muchachita de Valladolid (1958) or even 55 Days at Peking (1963), directed in Spain by Nicholas Ray.
His career had a second golden age with his collaborations with Carlos Saura in La Caza (1966) and Peppermint Frappé (1967).
He continued working on more than 175 films until he died. He acted in El bosque del lobo (1970), by Pedro Olea, Patrimonio Nacional (1980), by Luis García Berlanga. In Paul Naschy's Los cántabros (1980), he played a druid. He was also in Bearn o la sala de las muñecas (1982), by Jaime Chávarri and starred in the TV series Cañas y barro for TVE.

After leaving his studies of medicine in 1929, Mayo debuts at theatre with the company of Ernesto Vilches. He fought for Francisco Franco in the Spanish Civil War in aviation.He starred propaganda films such as Escuadrilla (1941), Harka (1941), A mí la legión (1942) but specially Raza, which script was written by Francisco Franco,under the name of Jaime de Andrade.

A voice-over describes how the Cantabrian tribes led by Corocotta have repeatedly defeated the Roman attempts to annex their territory in Spain. In Rome, Augustus is furious. His general Agrippa proposes a new plan - to defeat the Canabrians by adopting their own guerrilla tactics. Meanwhile in Spain, Corocotta attacks what he thinks is a Roman gold-transport, only to find rocks. He frees the slaves, who join his forces. Selenia, a seer, warns Corocotta of danger, but also tells Corocotta that his wife has given birth to a son. While Corocotta sees his wife and new child, Agrippa meets with Sonanso, a Cantabrian traitor who agrees to help him.

John Thornton (Charlton Heston) a prospector in the 1897 Klondike Gold Rush is trying to eke out a living in the harsh conditions of the bitterly cold Yukon region of Canada, with Buck the German Shepherd dog he befriends. Thornton struggles against unscrupulous rivals and natural hazards in the extreme conditions and is greatly helped by Buck who has his own story to tell: he was abducted from a family home and taken north to become a working sled dog. Man and dog forge a true bond of friendship, working together to survive life in the treacherous frozen North. Thornton is killed by Yeehat Indians, but Buck kills the men to avenge John Thornton. During the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940, a team of German saboteurs assume the identities of dead British soldiers and are transported to England. Their first objective is to cripple British air defences by destroying radar stations. Though the identities and whereabouts of the saboteurs are unknown, a team of British soldiers is set up to track them down and abort their mission.
