Anna Skellern (born 27 April 1985), is a United Kingdom-based Australian actress, best known as the first female member of The Chaser's television programme CNNNN.
Relocating to London, in July 2007 Skellern graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In that month she made her professional stage debut in the successful West End production The Vegemite Tales, playing the role of Maddie.
Skellern was cast as the new Sapphire in the radio show Sapphire and Steel from Big Finish – beginning with "Second Sight".
Skellern filmed for the sequel to Neil Marshall's critically acclaimed horror film The Descent, The Descent Part 2, which was released in late 2009. The script sees a survivor from The Descent forced back into the system of caves she battled her way out of in the first film, in a bid to locate the rest of her group. Skellern played one of the members of the new search team that accompanies the survivor back into the caves.
In 2009, Skellern filmed Agatha Christie's Poirot: The Clocks with David Suchet, Jamie Winstone and Tom Burke. She also filmed the new role of restaurant worker, babysitter, and Jake's crush, Kelly, for BBC1's award-winning, partly improvised comedy Outnumbered, directed by Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin and starring Claire Skinner and Hugh Dennis.
Skellern spent time in Africa filming the lead role in the thriller, Siren, with Eoin Macken and Tereza Srbova. She also plays Jo in the new feature, A Passionate Woman, directed by Kay Mellor and Antonia Bird, with Billie Piper and Sue Johnston.
She played the role of Lexy Price in series 2 of Lip Service broadcast on BBC Three in April 2012.
In October 2012 Skellern played Elaine White in series 2 episode 2 of the Sky 1 comedy drama series Spy.

Biography
Skellern attended the University of Sydney, where she was a prominent student activist. In the first season of The Chaser's CNNNN, an Australian television show satirising American news channels CNN and Fox News, she played her namesake Anna Skellern, a no-nonsense war correspondent noted for the frequent loss of her cameramen and dubbed 'the perfumed abattoir'. British art curator Harry Deane (Colin Firth) decides to seek revenge on his abusive boss Lord Shabandar (Alan Rickman) by conning him into buying a fake Monet ("Haystacks at Dusk"), a painting that has been missing since 1945, after being plundered by the Nazis. He teams up with a master art forger, the Major, and travels to Alpine, Texas to find rodeo queen, PJ Puznowski (Cameron Diaz) whom he plans to recruit in his scheme. Harry envisions the plan in his head, and goes to a bar to talk to PJ. PJ's friend Merle, angered by his advances, punches Harry in the face and a bar fight is started. PJ walks outside to find Harry and the Major cleaning their wounds, and they talk to her about the deal. She agrees and the next day the three drive out to PJ's grandmother's mobile home out in the desert. They hang the fake Monet on the wall and take a picture with the painting in the background. The picture is to appear with an article on the rodeo queen that will be published in a magazine that is part of Shabandar's media empire.

In 1989, George (Rupert Evans), Max (Kenny Doughty) and Ricky (Joseph Kennedy) are in a band, but it is clear that the group is starting to fall apart. Ricky is unreliable, Max is immature and George is becoming distant as he builds a relationship with his girlfriend Lynn. In order to make ends meet, the three also work in the cafeteria of an asylum for the criminally insane along with a guy named William (Marcus Garvey). Two days after the events of the first film, a traumatized and blood-covered Sarah (Shauna Macdonald) escapes the cave with no memory of the events that occurred within it. She is taken to a hospital, where it is revealed some of the blood on her is the same type as Juno Kaplan (Natalie Mendoza). Sheriff Vaines (Gavan O'Herlihy) demands that along with his deputy Elen Rios (Krysten Cummings), Sarah and three spelunking specialists – Dan (Douglas Hodge), Greg (Josh Dallas) and Cath (Anna Skellern) – must go back into the cave to find the missing women. A new entrance is found with the help of a sniffer dog, and the team members are sent down via an old mine shaft operated by the old, mysterious Ed Oswald (Michael J. Reynolds).
