Brandon Quintin Adams (born August 22, 1979) is an American actor, known for having played Jesse Hall in the first two Mighty Ducks movies and Kenny DeNunez in The Sandlot.
Adams has also appeared in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Martin, Michael Jackson's Moonwalker where he played Zeke in the "Smooth Criminal" segment and Young Michael in the "Badder" segment, a parody of Jackson's classic video for "Bad", and was the leading actor in Wes Craven's The People Under the Stairs. He also provided the voice of Raijin in Kingdom Hearts II.
Adams is also a rapper, performing under the name B.

A serial killer, named Karl Hochman (Ted Marcoux), is known as "The Address Book Killer" due to his habit of stealing address books and choosing his victims from them. While he is working at a computer store, he obtains Terry Munroe's (Karen Allen) address book after another employee, who is demonstrating a scanner, copies a page of her address book into the computer. In the San Fernando Valley during the summer of the early 1960s, protagonist Scotty Smalls moves into a new town with his mother and stepfather, and joins a local baseball team under captain Benjamin "the Jet" Rodriguez. With Benjamin's help, Scotty becomes a proficient player; but everybody learns that more than 150 of the team's numerous baseballs have ended up in the backyard fence of the sandlot, which is protected by an English Mastiff, a legendary ball-eating dog known as "The Beast," who belongs to his neighbor, Mr. Mertle. One day, the team's last ball lands in "The Beast's" possession, and Scotty substitutes one from his stepfather's collection, which is earlier signed by Babe Ruth. When this, too, is lost, the team construct a series of machines (each of them more complex than the last) to recover it remotely; but every time they ultimately fail. Inspired by a dream of Ruth (whom he admires), Benjamin is the first to seize the ball himself, while the others trap "The Beast;" whereupon Benjamin and Scotty return the latter to his owner, Mr. Mertle, who reveals that he himself knew Ruth, and later becomes the team's coach. Over the next three decades, Benjamin becomes a famous MLB player, and Scotty becomes a sports announcer.

Gordon Bombay (Emilio Estevez) is a successful Minneapolis defense attorney of the Ducksworth, Saver & Gross firm, who never loses a case but whose truculent courtroom antics have earned him no respect among his peers. After successfully defending a client resulting in his 30th win, Bombay is called into his boss's office to be congratulated, but also chastised for embarrassing the judge. Regardless, he celebrates by going out drinking and is subsequently arrested for drunken driving. Bombay is sentenced to community service by coaching the local "District 5" PeeWee hockey team. Bombay has a history with the sport, although his memories are far from pleasant: Years ago, Bombay was the star player on the Hawks, but he missed a penalty shot in the championship game, costing his team the title for the first time and disappointing his hyper-competitive coach, Jack Reilly (Lane Smith).

The film is set in Alabama during the 1950s and features an all African-American cast (with the exception of Celeste Holm). Pulliam stars as Polly Whittier, an orphan who is sent to live with her aunt Polly Harrington, who is a descendant of the founding family of a small Southern town (also called Harrington) during the segregation era. A key point in dividing the town is a ravine which has an unrepaired bridge which burned down many years ago, and no one knows how it started and is suspicious of everyone else. Polly is able to convince people to look at the bright side of things, but tragedy strikes when Polly falls two stories from a tree, suffering a spinal injury.
