David Rogers is an American film editor, television director and producer best known for working on NewsRadio, Entourage and The Office. In 2007, he was honored with the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Single Camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series for his work on The Office's third season finale, "The Job", which he shared with Dean Holland.

Ancien champion de course automobile, Sam Munroe doit revenir en piste lorsqu'il découvre que son fils Cam suit ses pas dans une écurie concurrente, dirigée par le rival de longue date de son père, Linsky. Ce dernier lui promet notamment de devenir le nouveau champion grâce à une nouvelle voiture plus sophistiquée. In spring 1939, Sara Delano, the mother of Franklin D. Roosevelt, asks his sixth cousin Margaret "Daisy" Suckley to visit the ill President of the United States at their country estate in Hyde Park, New York. Although Daisy and Roosevelt had not seen each other for years, the distant relatives form a romantic relationship, and Roosevelt often asks Daisy to visit Hyde Park when he stays with his mother. Daisy becomes one of the several women close to Roosevelt, including Sara; Missy LeHand, the president's secretary; and Eleanor, the president's wife. Despite his power, the president is often unable to control the other women; the quiet, shy Daisy is his confidante, and he tells her that Top Cottage will be their shared refuge after his presidency.

The film opens in 1991, with the funeral of a World War II veteran. The man's daughter Marie (Neve Campbell) delivers the eulogy to a church full of veterans who knew and loved her father, while her mother Ethel Ann (Shirley MacLaine) is sitting out on the church porch, smoking and nursing a hangover. When Ethel Ann begins acting strangely, only her friend Jack (Christopher Plummer) seems to understand why. 18-year-old Louise (Myles) is stuck in a run-down girls' boarding school and can't bear the thought of being away from her lover, art teacher Matthew, during the half term break. Late one night, she is awakened by Matthew calling up to her from outside her bedroom window. Scared and excited, Louise rushes to meet him, but it is only as his arms encircle her that she realises her eyes were deceived, with terrible consequences.
