Elisha Ann Cuthbert (born November 30, 1982) is a Canadian actress and model. She began her career as the host of the Canadian children's television series Popular Mechanics for Kids (1997–2000). Since then, her best known television roles have been Kim Bauer on the Fox action-thriller series 24 (2001–10) and Alex Kerkovich on the ABC comedy series Happy Endings (2011–13). She has appeared in such films as Airspeed (1998), Love Actually (2003), Old School (2003), The Girl Next Door (2004), House of Wax (2005), and Captivity (2007).
Cuthbert dated NHL player Sean Avery for nearly two years; they broke up in August 2007. Cuthbert began dating NHL player Dion Phaneuf in May 2008. She was the subject of media attention over these relationships in December 2008, when Avery told reporters that "it's become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds". He was subsequently suspended for the comment.
Cuthbert and Phaneuf announced their engagement in September 2012, and they married on July 6, 2013 at St. James Catholic Church in Summerfield, Prince Edward Island. Living in Toronto during the hockey season, Cuthbert and Phaneuf spend their summers at Phaneuf's waterfront estate outside of New London, Prince Edward Island, in his parents' home province.

Charlie Bellow, a polite, kind-hearted young man, hopes he will one day secure a managerial position with the Tiller King agricultural company, where his father works as a maintenance mechanic. Among other things, Jordan tells Charlie that her fiancé recently left her, tells a Tiller King representative she is pregnant with Charlie's child, sabotages Charlie's job interview with another Tiller King representative, and gives a piano recital where she asks him to bring her a single red rose and pushes him into the sea – and then saves him. Despite this, Charlie begins to fall in love with Jordan but clashes with her father, who believes Charlie is responsible for her erratic behavior. Bob Maconel (Slater) is a disillusioned office worker with ideas of murdering his coworkers. Billy and his mother moved from Boston to rural Vermont after a car accident which left Billy fatherless and with a gimp leg. Billy has a hard time adjusting to life in Vermont and has trouble making friends. While shopping at the mall after school one day, Billy stumbles upon a ramshackle petting zoo, where the animals are kept in poor conditions. After seeing a small pony with a horn taped to its head and finding out that it is about to be sold for slaughter, Billy instead makes a deal with the zoo keeper and buys the pony. Once Billy takes the pony home, he cleans her up and cares for her. The pony appears to be pregnant and eventually foals, under the watchful eye of Billy and his friend Carolyn. The pony's foal grows a horn and turns out to be a unicorn, who grows at a tremendous rate. Billy names the colt Nico from the letters found in the word "unicorn".
