Kyle Steven Gallner (born October 22, 1986) is an American actor. He is possibly best known for his portrayal of Cassidy "Beaver" Casablancas in the television series Veronica Mars, and for guest-starring in drama series Smallville as superhero Bart Allen. He is also well known for portraying Reed Garrett, Mac Taylor's stepson, on CSI: NY, and for his roles in the horror films The Haunting in Connecticut, Jennifer's Body and the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Gallner is in a relationship with Tara Ferguson, with whom he has two sons: Oliver Michael Gallner (born March 21, 2013), and Leo Grey Gallner (born November 9, 2014).
Gallner's father is of Jewish descent.

Biography
Gallner is good friends with actor Jake Abel, his former roommate. The two had a band called "The Third Kind" together for a short time. He attended Abel's wedding to Allie Wood in late 2013. In 2013, he also co-founded the independent production company Minutehand Pictures along with Oliver Thompson and Bay Dariz. The trio is currently producing the feature film Welcome to Happiness, in which Gallner portrays Woody Ward, a children's book author with a secret door in his closet.Gallner is in a relationship with Tara Ferguson, with whom he has two sons: Oliver Michael Gallner (born March 21, 2013), and Leo Grey Gallner (born November 9, 2014).

The film opens up with home videos of a husband and wife at the beach with their young son. Kris Fowles (Katie Cassidy) goes to the Springwood Diner to meet with her boyfriend, Dean Russell (Kellan Lutz), who falls asleep at the table and meets a man covered in burn scars, wearing a red and green sweater, a fedora and a clawed glove on his hand. Anita "Needy" Lesnicki, once an insecure and bookish teenager living near Devil's Kettle, Minnesota, is now a violent mental inmate who narrates the story as a flashback while in solitary confinement. She has been friends with a selfish and popular cheerleader, Jennifer Check, since childhood, despite having little in common. One night, Jennifer takes Needy to a local dive bar to attend a concert by indie rock band Low Shoulder. A suspicious fire engulfs the bar, killing several people, and Jennifer, who is in shock, agrees to leave with the band despite Needy's protests. Later that evening, Jennifer, covered in blood, appears in Needy's kitchen and proceeds to eat food from the refrigerator. Unable to digest the matter, she vomits a trail of black, spiny fluid and then leaves in a hurry as Needy calls after her.
