Éric Prat (born 14 March 1956) is a French actor. He appeared in more than ninety films since 1980.
Il a aussi participé à plusieurs succès du grand écran, tels Scout toujours..., Le Pacte des loups, Une époque formidable..., L'Homme de sa vie, Les Brigades du Tigre et OSS 117 : Le Caire, nid d'espions.
Éric Prat a aussi une longue carrière de théâtre derrière lui. Il a participé à la pièce L'Hiver sous la table (2006), mise en scène par Zabou Breitman. Il apparaît aussi dans La Cantatrice chauve mise en scène par Daniel Benoin.
Éric Prat est l'époux d'Arielle Boulin-Prat, la consultante Des chiffres et des lettres. Cette dernière l'a déclaré en février 2009, sur le plateau, alors qu'elle parlait du film Tatie Danielle.

Comme acteur de film, son premier rôle marquant a été celui de Jean-Pierre Billard, dans le film Tatie Danielle, réalisé par Étienne Chatiliez. Il joue ensuite une multitude de rôles à la télévision, dont le plus connu est probablement celui de l'inspecteur Torrence pendant la première saison de la série Commissaire Maigret.Il a aussi participé à plusieurs succès du grand écran, tels Scout toujours..., Le Pacte des loups, Une époque formidable..., L'Homme de sa vie, Les Brigades du Tigre et OSS 117 : Le Caire, nid d'espions.

Le film débute à la fin du mandat du président Georges Pompidou, qui meurt deux ans avant la fin de son septennat. Il relate la campagne présidentielle de 1974 et le soutien apporté, sur les conseils de Marie-France Garaud et Pierre Juillet, par le gaulliste Jacques Chirac à Valéry Giscard d'Estaing. Après son élection à la présidence de la République, celui-ci nomme Chirac au poste de Premier ministre. Mais leurs relations se dégradent rapidement. Jacques Chirac démissionne en 1976, et participe ensuite à la défaite de Valéry Giscard d'Estaing face au socialiste François Mitterrand, qu'il rencontre secrètement au domicile d'Édith Cresson en 1980.

The main plot starts with the disappearances of an OSS agent, Jack Jefferson, and a Soviet cargo ship in Cairo. In 1958, Anna Jurin, a young cleaning woman, is sent to spruce up the abandoned St. Ange orphanage in the French Alps region. In fact, she has been sent there because she is pregnant, but she keeps this a secret from others. She then discovers that Judith is the only orphan who still lives there, a young woman who acts like a child, locked up in her own memories.
