His nickname, "Gaira", apparently comes from a Japanese monster in the film War of the Gargantuas (フランケンシュタインの怪獣 サンダ対ガイラ, Furankenshutain no kaijū: Sanda tai Gaira) (1966).

Biography
He has a small following outside of Japan thanks to a couple of notorious films:Entrails of a Beauty and Entrails of a Virgin. This type of film (low budget, yet high production values and shot on video), helped usher in a new era of extreme Asia movies. Komizu was the creator of the Japanese cult zombie film Battle Girl: The Living Dead in Tokyo Bay which was screened in 1991.His nickname, "Gaira", apparently comes from a Japanese monster in the film War of the Gargantuas (フランケンシュタインの怪獣 サンダ対ガイラ, Furankenshutain no kaijū: Sanda tai Gaira) (1966).

Poppo, a teenage girl, is raped by four boys on the roof of a seven-story apartment building. She asks them to kill her, but they mock her and leave. Tsukio, a teenage boy, has been watching the rape passively. Over the next couple days, Poppo and Tsukio begin a relationship, telling each other of their troubled past and philosophizing about their fate. Poppo describes earlier rapes, which are shown in flashback. In a color flashback, Tsukio tells of his own recent sexual abuse at the hands his parents and another couple, all of whom he has stabbed to death. Poppo repeatedly asks Tsukio to kill her, but he refuses.
