Kim Miyori (born Cheryl Utsunomiya; January 4, 1951) is an American actress, best known for the role of Dr. Wendy Armstrong on the first two seasons (1982–1984) of the 1980s medical drama St. Elsewhere, a beleaguered resident.
Miyori was born in Santa Barbara, California to a bookkeeper/receptionist mother and a federal corrections officer father.

Jake (the only survivor from the The Grudge 2) is placed in a mental asylum after the events of the second film under the care of Dr. Francine Sullivan, his caretaker. One day Dr. Sullivan leaves Jake locked in his room as he tried to escape several times, as Jake begs her not to saying "she" will get him. While huddling on his bed, he hears Kayako in the room and begins pounding on the door to be let out. Kayako grabs Jake and begins to throw him around the room. Sullivan is quickly called by an officer, as she watches the footage on camera wondering what Jake is doing to himself (as Kayako cannot be seen on the footage). As they race to his room, they find him dead, with every bone in his body broken with his wrist slashed and blood everywhere.

In Japanese society, it is said a curse is created when a person dies in the grip of a powerful rage or sorrow. Those who encounter the evil supernatural force are consumed by it, the curse is born repeatedly and spreads. The original victims of the curse, the Saeki family, haunt their Tokyo suburban house as ghosts and kill anyone who enters. Housewife Kayako Saeki was murdered by her husband Takeo after he discovered she loved another man, their son Toshio and pet cat Mar also being murdered, before Takeo was hung by Kayako’s ghost. In the first film, American social worker Karen Davis tried to burn the house down to stop the curse, but failed, finding herself hospitalised and haunted by Kayako. The film’s chronology is told in a non-linear fashion, taking place in 2004 and 2006 respectfully.

Randy Bodek (Dempsey) is a rebellious college slacker, living with his girlfriend Jenny (Nancy Valen). Frank Castle is the city's most wanted, and most mysterious, vigilante, known as "The Punisher". He has killed 125 criminals in the past five years. Alex Delaware, a Los Angeles psychiatrist, testifies for the prosecution in the trial of an accused child molester. Later the defendant, who is out on bail, is found dead in the psychiatrist's office, in what appears to be a suicide. Shaken, the psychiatrist moves to the mountains outside of L.A. Not long afterwards a detective he knows, Milo Sturgis, comes to him for help. A seven-year-old girl saw someone kill both of her parents, but is so traumatized by the event that she can't remember anything, and Sturgis wants the doctor to help: Alex agrees, and the two go on the trail of the real perpetrators.

In Zoot Suit, Luis Valdez weaves a story involving the real-life events of the Sleepy Lagoon murder trial — when a group of young Mexican-Americans were charged with murder — and the Zoot Suit Riots. In the play, Henry Reyna (inspired by real-life defendant Hank Leyvas) is a pachuco gangster and his gang, who were unfairly prosecuted, are thrown in jail for a murder they did not commit.
