Mary Pat Gleason (born February 23, 1950) is an American film and television actress. From 1983–85, she appeared on The Guiding Light as Jane Hogan.
Since the early 1980s she has appeared on such television series as Full House, Dear John, Murphy Brown, Empty Nest, L.A. Law, Saved by the Bell, Murder, She Wrote, Friends, Step by Step, Suddenly Susan, Will & Grace, Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives, Family Matters, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Middleman, Up All Night, 1600 Penn, Motive, Baby Daddy, Partners and Mom.
She has appeared in such feature films as I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Basic Instinct, Traffic, Bruce Almighty, 13 Going on 30, The Crucible, Bottle Shock, A Cinderella Story, The Island and Nina.

Biography
Mary Pat Gleason entame sa carrière en 1982 en jouant dans la série Texas. Elle se fait principalement connaître en jouant entre 1983 et 1985 dans la série Haine et Passion, pour laquelle elle écrit le scénario d'un des épisodes, ce qui lui fera remporter un Emmy en 1986. Elle enchaîne ensuite de très nombreux secondes rôles divers et variés.Elle écrit et interprète son propre one-woman-show, intitulé Stopping Traffic, en 2006 : elle y raconte sa carrière d'actrice sous l'emprise d'un trouble bipolaire. The personalities of three neighborhood teens, Alex, Tuck and Munch, clash as they receive cryptic encoded messages on their cell phones which contain maps to a crashed alien. The friendly alien needs specific parts to repair itself and lures the boys to help it by following maps sent to their cell phones. They are all closely tailed by the usual shadowy government agents who plan to trap the alien for dissection. As the boys (and later, a girl named Emma who joins them) befriend the little E.T., they name him "Echo" due to its ability to echo sounds. After being caught and escaping the government agents, the crew takes a newly repaired Echo to the buried bridge of its ship. They say goodbye and escape to the surface as the rest of the ship assembles itself by pulling parts up from the ground and reassembling itself above their neighborhood.
