Michael Nolin is an American motion picture producer, studio executive, writer/director and educator.
In 2001, he was invited to join the faculty at Brooklyn College by Dan Gurskis (writer of Full Body Massage) and in 2003, he became a Professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he teaches writing, producing and film history classes and supervises the M.A. program in the School of Film and Television.

Biography
Nolin went to film school at the University of Southern California and began his career as a clerk typist in the MGM story department. Eventually he served stints as a Vice President at Columbia Pictures and 20th Century Fox.In 2001, he was invited to join the faculty at Brooklyn College by Dan Gurskis (writer of Full Body Massage) and in 2003, he became a Professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he teaches writing, producing and film history classes and supervises the M.A. program in the School of Film and Television.

Twelve-year-old Jeffrey Lionel Magee is an orphan. Jeffrey's parents were killed by a drunk driver just after his father told him that he would show him his infamous "stopball." After his parents' funeral, a couple tells Jeffrey to "come with them." However, Jeffrey teaches himself to fly and learns how to run, running especially fast on railroad tracks. After a year of running, he arrives in the town of Two Mills, where racial tensions are extremely strong. Hector Street divides Two Mills by race: blacks on East End, whites on West End. Jeffrey is confused by racial biases; to him, the people are simply people - heterogeneous, but with much in common, such as both kindness and cruelty.

Set during the final years of England's Victorian era, Ursula Brangwen is one of several children of wealthy Derbyshire farmer Will Brangwen and his wife Anna.
